Casa Silen sleeps four people downstairs plus three people in the adjoining upstairs apartment.
A light main room with a wood burner, and air conditioning leads on to three bedrooms and a washroom/toilet with a separate shower. Also accessed from the lounge is a large and fully fitted kitchen equipped with all appliances and a dining table.
A separate utility room with a washing machine and w/c is accessible from the patio area. There is a master double bedroom, one small double and one single bedroom located on the ground floor.
The living room has a hi-fi, television and satellite with European channels, one settee and two armchairs and fireplace, air conditioning. The ground floor area of the house is 80m2 with a 26m2 covered terrace area.
The upstairs apartment is accessible from within the house via a spiral staircase or by external stairs from its own large terrace overlooking the pool. This apartment comprises a large air conditioned living room with two single sofa beds and a TV with European satellite channels, a hall leading onto a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower unit and a small kitchen with a dining table. The floor area of this apartment is 52.5m2 and the terrace is 45m2.
Sun loungers deck the terrace around the pool and there are sun umbrellas, large tables and chairs available for outdoor use.
A lovely 9 x 4.5m pool with a roman end with steps leading into a shallow end of 1m and a deep end of 1.95m. Freshwater pool with salt cleaning system. The pool is serviced twice weekly during summer and once weekly during the rest of the year by a competent and reliable professional. Pool and garden lighting is available.
There is a local shop and café in Quelfes, approximately 1.5km away and a wider variety of shops, cafés and restaurants in Moncarapacho just 8 minutes drive away. Larger supermarkets can be located 10 minutes drive away in Olhão.
A good selection of beaches can be reached within 10 to 15 minutes by car, including various deserted lagoons and beaches with facilities. The Islands of Culattra, Armona and Farol can be reached by ferry boat from Olhao, 5km away.
There are excellent golf courses within 10 to 25 minutes drive from the accommodation. The closest is Colina Verde and further afield are Benamor, Quinta da Ria and Quinta da Cima, Monte Rei. The more popular golf courses west of Faro can be reached within 30 minutes.
A car is recommended for this property, especially in the heat of summer…and for reaching all the beautiful and interesting places further afield. Car rental, taxi transfers and bicycle hire can be organized with local reputable firms in advance or by calling the local representative.
Suitable for children under supervision of adults, there is rather low wall dividing the pool terrace to the garden below.

Having ground floor bedrooms and a bathroom and no other steps, this accommodation can be suitable for elderly people.
There are two neighbouring houses on the other side of the entrance gate and beyond and to the side of the pool terrace, however Casa Silen is not overlooked.
What type of access it there to the property?
The property is approached by a quiet, small driveway from the main road and has a gated entrance, off road car parking is provided by the house. The garden around the house and the pathways are lit.
This accommodation is situated within a small enclave of traditional houses, set 40 metres from a B road.
Ashtrays are provided for smoking outside the property.Please enquire if you wish to bring small pets.
Changeover day and time is flexible, though we aim to keep bookings as close as possible. Departure is by 10am and arrival is from 2pm unless otherwise arranged.
We provide a once weekly linen and bathroom towel change including a clean of the bathrooms. During longer winter lets cleaning and linen changes are agreed on an individual basis.
There will be some toilet paper and soap for arrivals and a hamper of beverages, with additional breakfast and snacks are provided for late arrivals.
Guests will be met at the villa, or otherwise informed where to locate the key and visited soon after arrival. We ensure a prompt and competent service from a team of property managers, who can be contacted at anytime.
