Perfect winter retreat

  • 5 of 5

Came up for a winter weekend snowmobile trip. Place was perfect for what we needed it for. Updated bathrooms and kitchen. Kitchen had ample dishes, glasses, knives etc. hot tub was a bonus after the day on the trail. Great location! Close to downtown Gaylord and the snowmobile trails. We’d 100% rent this place again.

Only problem is my phone didn’t work there and I do occasionally need internet

Owner's Response: Ok, this home does not have wi-fi/internet and is advertised accordingly but there is free wi-fi at the park/pavilion/pool area if you need it, park is walking distance. With regards to phone service, guests need to contact the cellular phone service provider which they pay for their service and ask the service provider if their phone service works in the area in which they are renting a home. Just a suggestion.... If the phone service in which the guest is paying for does not work in the area in which they are going to, ask the phone service provider why it does not work since you, being the customer is paying for. This has nothing to do with the home since it's advertised as having no internet and home is not responsible for cell phones not working:-) but wi-fi is nearby at the park and I do appreciate this review pointing it out which online already mentioned that this home does not have wi-fi. It's too bad it does not. I do offer 8 other lakefronts w/hot tubs which have wi-fi internet pretty much like this home and my suggestion is....if you absolutely need wi-fi, you would need to book a home which has it. This home is advertised as NOT having internet.

Clean, Comfortable, and Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this cabin with some friends of ours for the weekend. The cabin was very clean and had every amenity we could’ve ever asked for: well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms, comfortable beds with extra linens in the closets, TV’s in the bedrooms, washer and dryer in the nicely-finished basement, hot tub, etc. Aside from using the hot tub, we really didn’t go outside much because it was snowy and cold, but I did look around in the backyard and it was great back there too: boats to use ( I believe there were two kayaks, a canoe, and a paddleboat), a swing that overlooks the lake, a fire pit, etc. We highly recommend this cabin and we will be returning! Thank you Dorene!

Wonderful Relaxing Weekend

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful house we stayed in!! Beautiful views, relaxing accommodations, who could ask for more?!?

We pretty much used everything, from the hot tub in the mornings and evenings to the fire pit on Saturday night to the paddle boat and kayaks. Full service house!! Everything that we needed was there.

Thanks so much for sharing your little piece of heaven!

Definite recommendation here!!

Excellent location, property, and amenities!!!!

  • 5 of 5

I really cannot say enough how much we enjoyed staying here. First off, communication with the property manager was EXCELLENT. She always replied to my questions and requests very quickly, her directions to the cabin were great, and she even worked with me on adding an additional night and a late checkout. We also rented the golf cart which was great, my kids loved it. The lake had great fishing, literally hundreds of bluegills off of the dock for the kids to have fun with. My daughter and I took the paddle boat out and fished every day and caught some keeper size pan fish that we fried in the cabin, that was very cool for her. Also used the kayaks and there was a canoe there as well. Kitchen was very well stocked, had everything imaginable, a lot more than most rental cabins. Kitchen was just remodeled, very clean, new appliances. Lots of games and movies inside to enjoy as well. Basement foosball table was fun, satellite tv was great for night time, and all rooms were clean. Hot tub on deck was awesome and worked great, probably one of out favorite things about the cabin, and one of the main reasons we rented it. Great proximity to Gaylord where there was a lot to do.

Overall I give this place an A+. Great communication with property manager, loved the cabin and amenities it had, loved location, and had a GREAT 5 nights there!!!!

What makes this chalet unique

There is so much to do at the home such as kayaking, paddleboating or canoeing as all these boats are located on your own private sandy beach or you can relax on the deck in your private outdoor hot tub or you can take the kids to the Outdoor Heated Swimming pool just down the road which is open from Memorial Weekend to Labor Weekend which is walking distance from this home. You can view the bigger lake also from the deck. Breathtaking sunsets also. Watch the eagles which live on the lake along with loon, woodpeckers, swans, hummingbirds, owls, you name it!
