What You See Is REALLY What You Get!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed July 15-22 and had a wonderful and relaxing time at Little Bear Hideaway!

It is well stocked with all you need for cooking/grilling and the house is beautiful. Nice neighbors too! We kayaked and paddle boated around the lake and enjoyed the quiet beauty of God's creation. We would definitely return again!!

Wonderful property, beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

Property was everything we were looking for in family vacation getaway! House was clean, updated and had tons of extra amenities. Simple things like coffee filters, tp and cleaning supplies was a nice touch. Plenty of room for family and teens to spread out and get alone time in. Lake was peaceful and warm. Great fishing right from the dock. Two kayaks, a paddle boat and canoe for our use which we used every single day. Pool and park right down the road was extra treat for the little ones. Great location for day trips to Traverse City, Sleeping Bear and even Taq Falls. Shopping and groceries ten minutes away. Neighbors next door full time residents and very friendly. FYI, we had no cell phone service at the property. Could be blessing or curse! Neither Verizon nor ATT worked. We enjoyed the time off but if you needed it, didn't pick it up until we went shopping. There is wifi down at the pool if you needed it. Would love another vacation here!

A Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We chose this house for our family getaway and it did not disappoint. There are golf courses everywhere and Gaylord is very close, so everything you need or want is right there. I wasn't expecting the house to be so beautifully finished inside (the kitchen is spectacular with granite and nice cabinets and flooring. The house is very clean and well kept up, and everything is up to date with nice flooring and tile in the bathrooms. There is plenty of room and the basement is nice too. We found it a perfect place to escape into the quiet and beauty that is up north while being close enough to anything we wanted to do (dinner, golf etc.) when we did go out. We had a wonderful experience here and we will be back!

Great getaway

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed at this house with a group of friends every summer for the last several years. Close to a number of great golf courses. The recent updates to the property are fantastic. New kitchen and floors are top notch. Bathrooms have been recently remodeled in the last year and are first rate. The hot tub is a great amenity. I have stayed here with my family as well, and my kids loved the community pool which is only about a 3-5 minute walk. Overall I have never had a bad experience staying here.

Quiet lake; no motorized watercraft. Perfect for canoeing, kayaking and fishing. Spacious, well-maintained home. Beautiful, new hardwood floors throughout the home. Recently renovated well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and dishwasher. All the cookware, dishes and glassware you need to prepare a gourmet meal or barbecue. Lounge on the deck taking in the lake views, watching the wildlife or relaxing in the hot tub. Ample, comfortable seating in the living and dining areas. Newly renovated master and second bathrooms. Loads of storage and closet space. Lower level has entertainment areas with satellite TV and pong. Washer / dryer included. Looking forward to returning again to enjoy the fall colors.

Owner's Response: Thank you and these guests are 100% correct. Home has been totally renovated and turned out Beautiful! This home is set up quite nicely and comfortable with amenities that you don't have at home so puts you in vacation mode. You don't even have to leave the home, way too much to do at the house but if you do happen to do a day excursion, the hot tub will feel excellent to come home to:-)
