Gorgeous two bedroom home with wrap around patio in Barrio de Tubac facing the beautiful Santa Rita mountains. Our home is fully furnished with all the amenities of a comfortable extended stay resort. About 40 minutes from Tucson International airport.
Very quiet town. Very safe town! Pool area was beautiful, not far from house . There was also a hot tub there. Nice and warm, clean.
House and patio was spacious. Clean! Barbeque on deck, lots of chairs, table on deck. Access to the garage to park in.
Would highly recommend this house.
We have been coming to Tubac for vacation every year for 5 years; this has been our best rental "home away from home" (we have been staying in Barrio townhouses before). The house had everything that we needed; we especially loved beautifully decorated patio where we spent relaxed time in the shade listening to birds, watching hummingbirds eating from their feeder and taking a bath. The house is right across from Tubac village with its restaurants, shops and galleries. Tubac Center of the Arts is like a small museum. There are historic landmarks in Tubac and around; trails to walk in the shade of trees along the river; Madera canyon nearby for more serious hikers, wineries about an hour away, Smithsonian-Harvard observatory on top of the mountain (they do bus tours, views from the observatory are stunning), Kitt Peak observatory an hour away, and beautiful mountains wherever you look. You can go swim in a nice pool with a hot tub. This is a place to have relaxed vacation yet every day you can do something different and memorable. We highly recommend Tubac and this house which we hope to stay in again.
We enjoyed the location of this home; so close to Tubac and all the activities, restaurants and fun. We were also close to many other activities and events. The home was comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners provided basic needs to start our rental time so we could just start out and not have to hit the market to purchases some basic needs. The owners were very nice to show us around the house, give us information about the community pool and fitness center, and answered all of our questions. We plan to return if possible.
The town home is located across the street from the tiny town of Tubac, which consists of boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and lots of visual candy. It is a perfect location for persons who want a quiet, calm, relaxing vacation - unless you like to stay fit by biking, hiking and exploring. The place is about a mile from a pool/hot tub which is very nice and heated all year. It is free to the renters. The area is absolutely beautiful, sunrise/sunset are always a show of color and design.. pink, orange, yellow clouds sketched across the mountain ranges that surround the community. The unit is decorated tastefully and all the necessities you need - high internet, cable tv, grills, and household basics. The two beds are comfortable as is the couch and other furnishings. It really felt like a home. The only negative experience was the price - which was very high comparatively speaking to surrounding properties, and it appears the extra money is just for the furnishings. The other "odd" thing was the antique vacuum cleaner did not effectively clean, so we had to buy one. The desert is dusty, but some more intense cleaning would be helpful, especially if you have allergies. Most folks would not notice it perhaps as much. The owners are nice and easy to communicate with and she was extremely helpful in answering any questions. We did some little town touring, hit the Tuscon gem show in feb (OMG - dont miss it, once in a lifetime experience), southwest Indian art fair at the university (incredible!!-bought beautiful art) - also in feb., a powwow in dec, the San Xavier mission, Nogales exploring, and rock hunting. We loved the deli in Green Valley along with the China View. We did not find any dining in Tubac area to go back a second time. Prices are fine, food is ok. I would highly recommend this property if you have any hesitations. This is our first time renting vacation property and are quite pleased that it turned out to be such a positive experience. If you are looking for young people excitement, this is not the place for you, but if you love beauty, peace, quiet, easy going vacation or an athlete who loves the outdoors - you will find heaven here in Tubac and the townhome will serve as your home of comfort.
