About the property

2 bedroom, 2 bath, 2 fireplaces, with a Japanese soak tub, Canyon Rd 1 block

This classic Santa Fe beauty sits behind a private adobe wall awaiting the arrival of guests who have spent the day exploring Canyon Rd galleries and eateries. One strolls over the Santa Fe river bridge from this famous street, around the corner one block, through a peaceful neighborhood adorned with interesting adobe homes. Bring out the appetizers and bubbley, repose on the private sandstone patio under the pergola, and enjoy the mountain air.

This 1920's adobe has been professionally updated to expose all the classic architectural features one desires in the Santa Fe experience. Beamed and coved ceilings, salvaged wood floors, master bedroom french doors to patio, updated marble kitchen, 2 fireplaces, exquisitely tiled bathrooms, and a Japanese soaking tub are the first notable features about this property. Relax in the interior cool of the living area punctuated with vintage Danish furniture and both historic and contemporary art pieces. Enjoy the contrast between the adobe interior with the bright kitchen and patio ambience.

Guests who settle in will enjoy the complimentary pure Kona coffee, the plush bathrobes, and hotel quality sheets we provide. There are 2 queen-sized Stearns and Foster beds; a mixture of down and synthetic pillows for optimal comfort; bedside reading lights and robust closet space. For the active guest, re-usable shopping bags and a yoga mat are provided.

Electronic amenities are provided including a new Samsung 42" smart TV, a bedroom 28" TV, WIFI through Comcast, and an alarm system.

Two off street parking places are provided. Both washer and dryer are onsite.

About Stephanie Fine

We are natives of New Mexico, growing up in Santa Fe and familiar with the nuances of the city, and the surrounding environs. We are avid gourmet "foodies" and enjoy sharing these experiences with others.

Stephanie Fine purchased this house in 2013

Why Stephanie Fine chose Santa Fe

I grew up in Santa Fe, and while I live and work in Albuquerque, I have always retained a special place in my heart for Santa Fe. I treasure owning a piece of this city and look forward to retiring here someday. In the mean time I wish to share this special property and the experience it has to offer.

What makes this house unique

This property has ALL the features I appreciate when envisioning my perfect Santa Fe retreat. It has the original beams, some of which have been exposed to view when the pitched roof was converted to one open ceiling area. The 1500 square ft footprint is just large enough to accommodate several guests, but is not an overbearing space that defies the word 'cozy'.

Guestbook comments from the owner

S. and R. were the perfect couple in terms of clarity of communication, the level of cleanliness with which they left the house, their obvious enjoyment of all things Santa Fe, and a delightful social hour with the two of them. They truly enjoyed our city and home. We appreciate that.

Great location especially for Canyon Rd art viewing. The house is lovely, quiet, very comfortable and we even vegged out one night watching netflix. All the amenities you could want. Highly recommended.

Perfect location home

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely home the first week in October. Everything that you would need for your stay is available. The beds were very comfortable with nice linens. Kitchen and bath is well stocked. The house is beautifully decorated and the location is perfect. Only about one block to walk to Canyon Road and galleries. The week we stayed (Oct), the weather was absolutely perfect. Great weather for the hikes we did. Don't miss The Teahouse restaurant as it was great ; it's a short walk from house. We loved the house and Stephanie was so nice when I spoke with her. Would stay here again if we should return to Santa Fe

Everything about our week long stay at this wonderful home was perfect. The house is in impeccable condition, clean, completely stocked with all the amenities one would need and in a great location to everything Santa Fe offers. We will definitely stay there again when we're lucky enough to visit Santa Fe again.

Great little house, value, location

  • 5 of 5

Everything you could want in a charming, well decorated house with excellent kitchen and a small grassy yard. Stephanie was responsive to our needs and easy to work with once VRBO communications system was figured out. Will stay here again for sure when the need arises.

1 Month Stay at Santa Fe Classic with our dogs

  • 5 of 5

This was an outstanding house - it has great amenities and you can't beat the location! The enclosed backyard was perfect for our dogs, and we used the fireplace in the living room on a regular basis. The house was even better than the pictures show. Stephanie was a responsive and helpful host. I would recommend this property to anyone!
