It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, incredible views, amazing natural light, and fantastic windows throughout the cabin. You truly get the feeling you are sleeping in the woods. The quaint L-shaped living and dining area is furnished with craftsman style decor. It has a full kitchen, complete with stove, microwave, refrigerator & coffee maker. The bathroom has a shower with a standard size jetted tub. Outside is a large deck. The west end of the deck overlooks Lake Lucerne, while the large deck area on the East side features a table and chairs next to a large charcoal grill. This provides the perfect area for dining outside while enjoying the views. Even though this cabin feels secluded in the woods, you still have functional features such as cable tv and wifi.

You will find that there are many attractions and excellent dining options in Eureka Springs. This cabin is only 5 minutes from downtown Eureka Springs.

Enjoy peaceful walks around the lake. Fishing is allowed, but it is catch and release. There is not a swimming area at the lake, but you are welcome to bring your canoe, kayak, or paddle board to explore.

History: According to an 1892 publication, Lake Lucerne is a natural spring-fed lake. The original lake was dammed by a natural ledge of rock, the water eventually eroded through the rock and dropped the lake level. The natural dam was repaired and built up to the point that the lake was 20' deep in some places.

Over the years, the lake has been named Crystal Lake, Spring Lake, and Sanitarium Lake. (Despite the fact that the sanitarium was never built there). It was the perfect resort property and was a prized location for picnics, boating and horseback riding. There are several references-including old post cards-referring to it as Spring Lake up until the mid-twenties. At that time, the lake was sold to Richard Thompson, who also owned Ozarka Water company and had been president of Crescent College and Conservatory. Mr. Thompson eventually established it as 'Lake Lucerne Resort'. He built cabins, pavilions for dancing and for dining, a hotel, a bath house, and a golf course. For years, it was one of the most exclusive resort properties in the area.

This cabin features the original interior and exterior features that made this resort picturesque at the time it was developed. It truly feels like you are stepping back in time to a gone-by era of luxury log cabins.

Note: This cabin is on a gravel road which may not be suitable for motorcycles. Additionally, there is only room for one vehicle. If you have a trailer, or will be expecting guests, please notify us and request special accomodations. (This house only sleeps 2).

Beautiful

I've been here twice now and loved both visits. This time I went with my daughter and we explored Historic Eureka Springs. The cabin is truly a Tiny House. It's a perfect space.

Great property

  • 5 of 5

Cool little cabin. Fairly secluded although there is a small road that runs right behind the cabin. We didn’t any vehicle traffic the entire time we were there except for a guy walking his dog. Very close to historic downtown Eureka Springs. Cabin was perfect size for two or three people. Had eveything we needed. We had a problem with water pressure one day, but we called the number provided and it was taken care of before we got back. We had a great time! Thank you!

A fun place to sray even when the outside temperature never rose above freezing!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was great and as expected. I had two very minor concerns........the central heating should be adjusted to put more heat into the living room area. Most of the heat went into the bedroom. And, the bathtub should have a non-slip mat, it was really slick.

Other than that it was a fun place to stay and we really enjoyed our stay.

Rustic, historic cabin tucked into woods - so relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

We loved this cabin. I'd have loved to have stayed much Ionger. The construction and design, especially period details, were fabulous. Its surrounded by a lush forest and offers great bird watching on the deck. Bed and bedding were very comfortable. Only downside was the spiderwebs, I'd just suggest you leave a broom accesible for guests. Also, didn't see a way to operate the jetted tub, but the tub was comfortable to use (nice big bathroom was a pleasant suprise!) even without the jets. I hope to return again - definitely a terrific property! Owner has great taste!

Cute and cozy

Really cute cabin - very secluded. It was clean - only complaints would be wish the bed was bigger and didn't get a shower the last morning - guess there was a water leak and they shut off but things happen!! All in all we were pleasantly surprised!!
