About the property

House, 1 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, 4 Sleeps

Wonderful 100+ year old cozy cottage on quiet street 2 blocks from downtown Prescott. Walk out the front door, turn right, walk two blocks and you will run into the courthouse square, where you will find great shopping, art galleries, restaurants, Whiskey Row bars, and all of the great events that Prescott is famous for. This cottage is perfect for a couple or small family, with 1 bedroom with a queen bed, a sunroom with a chaise lounge and desk (wifi access) and living room with a comfortable sleeper sofa. The bathroom has been recently renovated with a large claw foot tub/shower and pedestal sink. The kitchen is charming and well equipped with an electric stove, frig, microwave and coffee bar. The front yard is private with lots of shade and a great front porch with a porch swing and table and chairs for outdoor dining.

About Karen Sowards

I have lived in Prescott since 1995 and can't imagine living anyplace else. I live with my husband near downtown Prescott, own two vacation rental homes as well as several other full time rentals. I have been a Realtor since 2002 and especially love to specialize in selling historic homes in the downtown area.

Karen Sowards purchased this cottage in 1996

Why Karen Sowards chose Prescott

Cute and cozy 100+ year old cottage with front porch & porch swing. Fantastic location, just 2 blocks from downtown, but on a quiet, lightly traveled street. Very clean and nicely decorated.

We simply adored our stay in the cottage! It was the perfect size, location, and cost. The house was cozy and quaint. We loved how we could walk to the court house and restaurants and shops! Perfect place for a visit to Prescott!

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was nicely decorated, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and wine in the afternoon on the front porch swing. Great location--quiet neighborhood but so close to historic downtown. The owner was great to deal with. We would definitely rent again.

Prescott Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cozy cottage is so close to the historical downtown but so very quiet. The swing on the front porch captured me every afternoon. What fun it was to walk around all the blocks of old Victorian homes and cottages decorated for Halloween. I loved it so much I was able to extend my stay another week. Luck me!

Perfect Place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. It was the perfect size for our family of 3. Karen is very easy to work with and the place is exactly how it was described online. The location is great, only a few short blocks to the downtown with all the shopping and restaurants. It is located on a quiet street and parking is easy and right in front of the cottage. We brought our dog and enjoyed having a fenced yard for her. We would definitely recommend it and we plan on returning for a future stay.
