Desert views, plants, birds, sunsets. The quail come in and picnic on the bird blocks. Mts off in the distant to north and east. Box canyon is one of our favorite day hikes. We hope that you enjoy the desert as much as we do each winter. It truely is a beautiful part of our wonderful world.
We hope that you stay here and feel at home!
To make sure we are keeping everything wiped down , steam cleaning, sanitizing every surface . I also keep a supply of hand sanitizer, masks, gloves. We all want to have a clean space in this world. Relax and enjoy you vacation.
Put a chunk of wood into the chimneas on the patio. After a day of hiking. Our guesthouse is cozy, southwestern, in a natural desert. Cozy cabin, with ranch space. Rodeo grounds few miles away. Or for hiking near by mountains all around. Anyway we leave the lights on the porch.
Catalina Mountains to SE, Superstition Mts to north , beautiful sunsets and best weather in late fall and winter. We love staying here, taking care of quail and guests. So come on by and stay awhile.
Since our goal is to make your stay here a relaxing visit to the desert, keep in mind we are in the desert. The animal world has variety! Good self distancing . For trail hiking always bring water, etc.
I discount for one week staying 7 days and one. Monthly.
WiFi s available.
The Florence Air balloon and bluegrass festival is on February 3-6. Only three miles from here, at the rodeo grounds. Across from the N Sidewinder Circle is Desret Gardens R V park.

Wonderful vacation getaway!
We really enjoyed staying at this property. It was very clean and comfy. Our only wish is that the bed was larger. The owners are exceptional and attended to our every need. Great Escape
The hosts were the most hospitable folks that I've ever stayed with. They really made me feel like family. Couple that with all the lovely saguaros and coyotes howling in the night!

We are retired, to the south in the winter months. Have been coming to Arizona to enjoy desert and family over the years. There are a lot of things about Arizona that make it a ideal place to stay. The area is desert, we have five acers, open space to the SW. the driveway is large with plenty of parking, we have had guests that bring their side by sides. great place to get out and ride for miles exploring the area. What I like to do is see what the desert has to offer. One guest was wondering where to part his side by side, I said just part it on the gravel. Plenty of parking space. We live here in the winter months, out of the cold and wet northwest.

Why they chose this property

This home was, Len's Mom's. She enjoyed the birds and the unique plants. We are continuing the bird feeding and viewing. Caring for the many cacti. And adding to the mix. Some are well over 100 years. The first owner would grow plants mainly cactus. and blooming ones. The guesthouse was a work Higgens began, in 96. We remodeled. So everything is pretty new. This we will continue to take care of. It is off the highway, and ,Florence is five miles north on 79. Lots of restaurants. Love the birds, we are on a migratory path for winter snowbirds. Across the highway is the Desert Gardens RV Park, you don't hardly see it, as it goes west from the road. I have had a few guests stay at our guesthouse, because it is coinvent for visiting.

What makes this property unique

Walking in the desert is unique. And cactus, and so different when you get close. Our son in law and daughter put a re purposed 18 hole mini golf course in. Makes putting fun! Most of our guest try this and get to liking the game. We have a camp fire night and get together for dogs and drinks. Horseshoes or Cornhole. Great location ofr getting out to the desert. There are so many places to explore, or pack a lunch and go for a hike.
