Such a nice place!
It was a clean and cozy place. Rob was very friendly and helpful in case you needed anything. There was a minor issue with the water that was fixed immediately by Rob. There is a waterfall nearby that has a refreshing vibe. I highly recommend it!

Great for families
This house is cozy upstairs, but roomy downstairs. Upon entry, you feel right at home like you’re at your grandparents’ house—mostly the musty smell and dated decor. BUT then you see the roomy basement with three pullout couches, jukebox, and food all and all is forgiven! Families with early risers… your best friend will be the side porch! Hubby and I had coffee out here with two littles and the door shut, and those in the upstairs and downstairs were able to sleep in. Godsend! The view is pretty, the fire pit is fun, and the basement gave room for the kids to roam while the adults got caught up chatting upstairs. Bring expander plugs for the bedrooms, as there aren’t enough outlets. And don’t let your kid stand on the metal cellar door, which gave way to my 7 yo and was almost a tragedy. They need to secure it properly and then it will be fine. Not far from the things we wanted to do, but hard to find from the road

Nice house, missing some touches
The house was nice but could have been better with a bit more attention to the details. There weren’t enough blankets, so the people in the basement were very cold at night. The toilet paper was the cheapest single ply you can buy. The pots and pans were very old and in poor condition. On the plus side, the location was great, very close to ohiopyle. The house had plenty of space and the basement was nice.

Frank Lloyd Wright houses
We visited all the Frank Lloyd Wrights sites in the area, along with a day of biking. This house was the perfect location to get around the area. In the evenings, it was so peaceful to sit on the sun porch and enjoy the view. Tucked at the end of the road it was a wonderfully quiet place. Kitchen is fully stocked. It is a great house!!

My father built this home when I was young. I totally renovated it in 2012 and made it mostly rustic but kept some of the original characteristics. The main floor ceilings were plastered when the house was built by a one man expert that can't be found today. My wife and I flag stoned the patio and created a very relaxing firepit area which we love to enjoy when it is not being rented. We love to hike through the woods. Sitting on the patio you can see the beautiful mountains and the neighbors farm with cows.

Why they chose this property

This place is truly your home away from home. It is fully equipped with everything you would need...all linen, washer and dryer, iron, all appliances, dishes, tv' s in all rooms, fire places, beautiful view from the sun room, juke box, foozball table, fire pit.
