For an annual leadership getaway for our church, we decided to rent a vacation house for a little 'homey' feel. We were happy to find a house in Mystic this year. The house was clean and well maintained. And the pictures were accurate. The bedrooms were great size. The kitchen/dining/living room combo provided an open and spacious feel. The location was in a nice quite area of the town. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Everyone of us had a great and relaxing time. We would definitely like to return next year! Thank you so much!!
Mark was a fantastic host, very helpful and hospitable. Lovely home, very cosy and comfortable bedrooms. Very well equipped and decorated, perfect for any family staying in the Mysitc area!
Eleven family members converged on Mystic for Thanksgiving this year, coming in from Oregon, Calif., Georgia, Baltimore and Virginia Beach. Six stayed at my sister's house in Old Mystic, and five of us stayed here at Mark's wonderful abode. It was perfect in every way. I loved that the house is located amidst the historic areas of Mystic, but is actually a modern, recently-built house - the best of both worlds! I have rented several properties through VRBO, and I can say without hesitation that this one was the best. Every single little thing that a guest might need has been thoughtfully provided. The kitchen was better equipped than my own! (And we put it to the test with some serious Thanksgiving cooking!) There was even an extra refrigerator in the garage, which came in handy. The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we all walked from the house to the Mystic River to watch the Christmas Boat Parade - what a way to kick off the holidays. Mark graciously allowed us to bring our 10-pound dog, Radar, which was so much appreciated. Radar loved going for walks in the surrounding neighborhood. It takes about 10 minutes to walk to Lis Bakery on Holmes Street, which is where you should start every morning while you're in Mystic. I hope to stay at this house over and over again in the coming years.
Great home! Plenty of community area to spread out and a great backyard! Walking distance to great pubs and downtown! Mark the owner available and helpful!
Loved our stay!!!
So great. The house has everything you could need and want for your stay. This is a complete house and is so clean, in a great location, updated appliances and all the "extra" stuff that you don't think you need until you need it! Marc is so great!
Beautifully appointed home..comfortable,spacious...indoors and out. Owner was fabulous to work with..house has it all for a weekend getaway or longer stay to enjoy all the area has to offer. EVERYTHING provided! Could NOT have chosen a better place for our daughters wedding stay!! Will repeat and recommend with 5+ stars!!
House was much larger than we had realized. It was new, immaculate and contained everything we needed. We were only there 2 nights but wished we stayed longer. Location was great. Unfortunately the weather was not great so we could not take advantage of the outside patio, fire pit, etc. We would return to this house again.
