About the property

Studio, 2 Bathroom, 5 Sleeps

Nestled in the middle of a juniper forest just outside of Redmond is The Carriage House --- a private hideaway for those seeking a quiet, tranquil retreat for some serious R&R, or a central launching spot from which to begin a day of enjoying Central Oregon’s many activities.

Close to Smith Rock, Steelhead Falls, challenging golf courses, hidden fishing holes and peaceful walks along the river, The Carriage House offers a loft like sleeping/living area with one double 4-poster and one double size futon sofa, a large open deck and full luxury bath upstairs and a twin daybed and half bath downstairs-- perfect for a couple or family of four.

A full kitchen and large farm style dining table await good company, good food and memorable conversations.

Whether you want to cozy up with a good book, watch the moon and stars appear from the open deck, sip some great Oregon wine, taste the latest brew, or take off early morn for a robust hike on the mountain trails ……..

Whatever time you choose to arrive, we’ll leave the lantern at the front door on.

About Liza C. Little

Having spent most of our lives life in big cities, NYC & Houston, TX-- my mother, brother & I decided to take an adventure and move to the country. We are Italian so we stick together!

We had the privilege of living in an historic Carriage House in Greenwich Village, NYC and missed the old world charm of this renowned home when we moved to Oregon. To capture some of the appeal, my mother decided to build a similar sanctuary on the back of her property and away from the main house that incorporated that feeling--a private, peaceful, luxury hideaway for visiting friends and family wanting some serious R&R.

It turned out to be a beautiful, custom, unique dwelling, reminiscent of a place writers from long ago would have nestled into their hidden spot to get lost in a great story.

We have had many grand parties and celebrations in this magical place & recently decided to share its beauty and tranquility with others.

In that spirit and because of my personal love for this house, it is my honor to welcome travelers and manage the rentals.

Divine - Vintage - Charming - Tranquil

  • 5 of 5

I rented the Carriage House as a place for my bridal party and I to stay in the night before my wedding, to get ready at the day of, and to come back to with my HUSBAND the night of our wedding + remainder of the weekend. I cannot say enough about Liza, and her sweet parents who live in the main house across from the carriage house. We arrived to find the sweetest note, chocolates, wine, celebratory champagne, and a lovely begonia for my husband and I to plant in our first garden together. The house was refreshingly clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need. There was a sign in the fridge welcoming us to the fresh farm eggs on property. It was also beautifully decorated and my bridal party swore this house was decorated just for me (If you love bright whites, and vintage decor- look no further!) We hope to make this spot an anniversary getaway tradition. Liza- thank you and your adorable family again for hosting us. It was truly one of he most unforgettable experiences of our lives and we will surely be back!

Quiet and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay here. It's a beautiful, serene location with plenty of room for our one year old to roam around. We especially loved the four deer that hung around in the back yard every day. Liza is an amazing host and she made sure our stay was great!

Beautiful, serene and unique.

  • 5 of 5

Upon arriving at the Carriage house we were greeted with wine, cookies and a refrigerator stocked with water, sparkling water, beer and fresh eggs from their chickens. We are a family of seven and they were very accommodating. We brought a queen mattress and sheets for two of us and the rest had beds. Deer were outside our windows including two fawns. They had croquet to play and a hammock to lounge. It was like a big slumber party. I would definitely recommend this house and will definitely be back!

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Liza was so welcoming, and even provided farm fresh eggs, wine and beer upon our arrival. The house was very clean and quiet in a beautiful setting. It's a great place to relax and not far from attractions in Bend, Brasada Ranch or Redmond. We will definitely be returning next year!
