About Liza C. Little
Having spent most of our lives life in big cities, NYC & Houston, TX-- my mother, brother & I decided to take an adventure and move to the country. We are Italian so we stick together! We had the privilege of living in an historic Carriage House in Greenwich Village, NYC and missed the old world charm of this renowned home when we moved to Oregon. To capture some of the appeal, my mother decided to build a similar sanctuary on the back of her property and away from the main house that incorporated that feeling--a private, peaceful, luxury hideaway for visiting friends and family wanting some serious R&R. It turned out to be a beautiful, custom, unique dwelling, reminiscent of a place writers from long ago would have nestled into their hidden spot to get lost in a great story. We have had many grand parties and celebrations in this magical place & recently decided to share its beauty and tranquility with others. In that spirit and because of my personal love for this house, it is my honor to welcome travelers and manage the rentals.

What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
Please see About You section--- did I mention there is a hammock strung between two Juniper trees to lazily swing the summer hours away... or Farm fresh chicken eggs in the fridge awaiting unforgettable breakfasts.... and a crisp, rushing river around the corner from the rental to throw your cares to the wind and let the sound of flowing water carry your thoughts away...

Exactly what we were looking for. Quiet and in a pretty setting.
A quiet, lovely getaway.
The Carriage House was the perfect base camp for our central Oregon adventures (the alpaca farm across the highway, Smith Rock, downtown Bend, a long day trip out to John Day). The property is a little oasis in the high desert where my kids had expansive lawn to run on and a big porch from which to gaze at the stars. It was so peaceful, save the night we were awakened by the howling of a pack of coyotes! It easily accommodated our family of five and was an adaptable space for the hot weather (nice, cool concrete floors on the ground floor, lots of windows to open upstairs for the evening breeze). Access to the pool at the golf course was a lifesaver, and such a nice perk to staying at the house. Liza and her family were very responsive to our (few) needs, and they are thoughtful, kind people. We really enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House and highly recommend it to others. Thank you for a lovely week!
Very nice place to stay. Private. Spacious.
We were happy to find a place close to Sisters for the huge annual quilt show. It is out in the country, which attributes to the quiet haven it is. We had a very positive experience that we enjoyed, but we were on the go so much that we missed out on the serenity of the area. (Which abounded..., but escaped us).
a genuinely lovely place in a fabulous setting
the property is not nearly as remote as it seems in the ad, but the bonus is that the ole fella next door is an absolute gem. Spacious downstairs if you've a good size group, just don't plan on housing them, too.
Liza was absolutely wonderful to us, she took the time to check in with us, and was very accommodating with any requests. The house has a lot of character, it us such a cool and unique spot to spend a weekend in Central Oregon.
Very cozy. Quiet.
The Carriage House was very cozy and quiet. Perfect for my husband and me! Information was accurate and Liza, the host, treated us to some Oregon wine and chocolate treats. A very enjoyable base for our weekend!
