About this property

Our cabin, Golf Home 173, is perfect for family fun year around. The great room encompasses living, dining and kitchen so everyone is included. In the warm weather, open the side-by-side glass doors and the large deck becomes part of the living area.

The main floor has two king bedrooms (one with a small bath attached) and a queen bedroom that also includes a triple bunk. Great for a "kids-only" room, or a family. A 2nd bath with laundry is also located on the main floor.

A curved staircase leads to an upper loft with two twin beds and a DVD screen. Please note no egress window in the loft.

The living area includes a TV with cable, a wood burning fireplace, and wifi.

The quiet cul de sac and tall pines make deck time very scenic and enjoyable. Grill up your favorite summer meals while watching the kids ride their bikes around the circle. Deer pass through almost daily.

Paulina springs pool and tennis courts are a moderate walk away. The Glaze Meadow complex and Lakeside pool and bistro are minutes away by bike or car. You will love our centrally located cabin.

Things to know before you book...

The cabin does not have air conditioning. A comfortable temperature can be maintained inside the cabin during normal summer conditions.

As part of our check-out list, we ask that our guests start laundry, dishwasher, and deposit their own trash at the transfer station when leaving Black Butte Ranch. The transfer station is free, accommodates recycling, and is conveniently located along the exit route from Black Butte Ranch.

Black Butte Ranch charges an access fee currently equal to 12% of your total rent (nightly rate x number of nights x 12%). This fee is not included in the price of your rental. In the past the access fee was collected at the Welcome Center upon the guest's arrival. Beginning in 2024 the property owner will collect this fee independent of your VRBO booking, and remit on your behalf. This eliminates the financial transaction at the Welcome Center. We will contact you with options for payment. The rest of the registration sequence at the Welcome Center remains the same. Black Butte Ranch has always charged an access fee. The only change is the method for collecting the fee.

Black Butte gem!

We’ve stayed at this cabin a half dozen times and love it more and more with each stay. The location is excellent, the owner and communication are always prompt and clear. Highly recommend this property for any 1-2 family groups.

Well appointed. Deck was huge. Wonderful for outdoor use and dining. We were sorry about the forest fire smoke but the house was just right.

We love BBR

This was our second time staying at this property; it works great for our family. Equipped with all we needed, plenty of space for kids. Our challenge this trip was actually the weather- was close to 100 degrees and very smoky/poor air quality from nearby wildfires. Without AC (as many homes don’t, I understand) it was difficult to be comfortable. Obviously not the property’s issue, but a new awareness for us when traveling to BBR in the late summer months. Thanks again for sharing your place!

We met in high school and married in 1982. We have enjoyed bringing our children and grandchildren to Black Butte Ranch for many years. The natural beauty and outdoor activities never grow old.

Why they chose this property

We have been long time visitors to the Ranch and owners for 16 years. We love this cabin because it feels "cabiny" and is still spacious enough to accommodate the whole family. Black Butte Ranch is very family oriented and so are we. We would love to share it with you!
