Our family (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 10yr, 1 doggo) all thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We arrived shortly after check-in but had not received our check in code, but after a quick call, Eric had us sorted out right away. The hosts also checked in with us our second day to make sure that we were ok and see if we needed anything. When we couldn't find the hot tub key, Eric replied right away to help us out.
The house was clean and comfortable and had all we needed to cook and enjoy our stay. The game room, hot tub, and firepit (we used the gas version) were all highlights for our family fun. Plenty of towels, blankets, dishes, etc. and even had specific blankets, towels, etc.. for the furry friends. One item that we could not locate was a cutting board. If there was one there, I could not find it, but was a non-issue. Otherwise we had all we needed to cook.
The adults had to work remotely our first day and the internet was excellent for both of us to conduct meetings/calls with no interruptions in service. The streaming TV was also a nice touch for a couple cozy movie nights.
Just down the street there is a trail (looks like a driveway but it's not) that we hiked two days. It meets roughly in the middle of a 4 mile(ish) hike and we hiked both ways. It's a lovely trail with beautiful views and we hardly saw any humans. All family members enjoyed (especially doggo) and it was so convenient to be able to just walk to the trail head.
Special note, we saw deer and elk every single day were there (5 days). It was such a treat to have them hanging out in the backyard just chilling while we had our coffee. Even walking the dog, they would just look up and hang out. Not worried about people at all - LOL. The next door neighbor is not a fan of the elk (read: shouting colorful words) as they eat her foliage. She was slightly disruptive a few days but seemed to chill out a bit after my husband chatted her up. I only bring it up as if we had smaller children they would have heard some "new" words ;) haha. Otherwise the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful - just what we were looking for.
There are several shops and restaurants close enough to be convenient but not in your back yard either. Of the 3 places we went we would recommend the Old County Inn and THAT Brewery. Excellent food and service at both establishments.
To sum up: We had a wonderful stay and would ABSOLUTELY rent this little cabin again. Thank you to our hosts - We all had a lovely time.
