3BR/2BA North Lake Tahoe Chalet with Creek, Sleeps 6

Bedrooms 3
Space 104 m²
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 2 - 4 nights

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 7

Our 3-bedroom, 2-bath North Tahoe A-frame chalet welcomes up to 6 people to a special place in the pines. Beautiful through all four seasons, the chalet (with two decks!) is surrounded by world-class ski amenities, private white-sand Lake Tahoe beaches, scenic championship golf courses…even a pristine creek that winds through the property, just a one-minute walk from the chalet.

When the day's outdoor adventures are over, you’ll be thankful to have this cozy chalet to return to. Complete with a gas fireplace to warm you in winter and two decks under the pines for a summer BBQ!

Step inside this lovely chalet with beam ceilings, hardwood floors, and charismatic A-frame architecture. The living area will be your family’s go-to hangout spot with its full entertainment center, including a flatscreen TV, DVD player and Nintendo Wii game system. A gas fireplace quickly warms the entire downstairs. Through the large glass doors in the living area is the larger of the two gorgeous, pine-shaded deck spaces.

Up to 8 can dine together at the dining table with bench seating and barstools at the kitchen counter. With our open floorplan, the cook doesn’t have to work alone; friends and family can sit at the counter and sip local Tahoe wine (we provide the wine rack to hold your haul!).

The recently remodeled kitchen is compact but well-equipped with everything you need to cook. Check out the big copper sink!

A rustic master bedroom occupies the A-frame’s loft space, with exposed wood beams and great views of the woodsy backyard. Even better: the foam mattress topper on the queen-sized bed. It’s like sleeping on a cloud! The master bath (also recently remodeled) boasts high ceilings, beautiful tile work and, most importantly, heated floors.

The kids can claim their own room with 3 twin-sized beds. They get views of the wooded backyard, too, through a distinctive chevron-shaped window (which adds lots of character to the chalet’s exterior, too!).

One more bedroom, with a queen bed, is located downstairs. A second remodeled bathroom, also downstairs, has copper accents and a luxurious shower.

Incline Village, NV, in North Lake Tahoe, is an adventurer’s paradise—and all of the area’s year-round activities are within easy reach of our chalet. Ski the Sierra Nevadas. Lounge on a pristine Tahoe beach (Incline Villlage has two of them, and they’re totally private!). Golf on a championship course. Or enjoy a delicious meal at Jack Rabbit Moon, serving innovative American cuisine a half-mile from the chalet. Many other dining options are just a mile away!

If that’s not enough, the Incline Village Recreation Center provides adult fitness classes and children’s summer camp activities. Boredom just doesn’t exist here!

Great spot for a family vacation!

  • 4 of 5

I stayed here with my two kids for an end of summer vacation. The cabin is very cute- inside and out! I could see what the kids were doing at the table while I was in the kitchen getting a meal ready. The kids loved the room upstairs with the three twin beds, and I liked being right next to them in the queen master suite room.

The house was perfect for us! Only two drawbacks-- it is right by the highway so if you want to open the windows it is VERY loud at night. It also got hot upstairs. I emailed the property manager to request fans, but didn't hear back for more than 24 hours which means we had the fans (very nice that they dropped them off) for just one of the nights we were there.

We went to the Sand Harbor beach each day, which is about a 10 minute drive away. There is a grocery store within a mile, a small movie theater, and some nice restaurants in Incline. Drive a little farther to Kings Beach and there are a lot of restaurants.

Overall, we had a great time. We hope to be back!!

Nice Place

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very nice, but we were disappointed that we could not use the rear deck because it was under construction.

Everything was as described. Great location to Diamond Peak Ski Resort (10 min drive - which is a small but wonderful resort for beginners and families with kids). The decor and amenities are updated and clean. I love the cute neighborhood of A frame cabins too. We will be back!

Clean little cabin. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms were remodeled. The kitchen is tiny and not very well stocked, even though the description says it is. There is limited cooking utensils, ie...pots/pans. A drawer was broken, and we were locked out of the cabin due to a faulty locking mechanism. The rental company was very attentive to our problem and compensated us accordingly. It's a good space for a family. Close to Diamond Peak which is a huge plus.

Nice Cabin, well looked after, nice amenities, not so great location.

  • 3 of 5

The cabin was very well kept, as described and had a lot of great amenities to make our stay comfortable. The proximity to the village and Kings beach and some hikes we like was also pretty good. Unfortunately the location of the cabin itself made it challenging to sleep in the master room upstairs. The two lane highway that runs between Reno and Incline is about 40 yards from the back deck - the noise from the cars and the lights from them at night kept us up and really prevented us from getting a great nights sleep. Perhaps some darker shades in the room and modern windows to block out the sound would be a nice addition but sleeping with the window open for some fresh mountain air is not possible unless you are used to sleeping next to a noisy road. We wouldn't stay here again because of the noise and lights from the highway.
