About this property

Cozy and light-filled apartment on the ground floor of our brand-new house in Pisgah Forest. We are located in a private wooded community approximately 3 miles from the entrance to Pisgah Forest. Easy access to grocery stores and downtown Brevard (10-minute drive) where you will find unique shops and restaurants. We are 5 minutes to the entrance of Pisgah National Forest, about 20 minutes to Dupont Forest, 30 minutes to downtown Asheville, and 20 minutes to downtown Hendersonville.

Perfect location to base yourself to explore the wonders of Transylvania County, the Land of Waterfalls. The area is renowned as a place for mountain biking, hiking, golfing, and just exploring nature. We know the area very well and can advise you on where to go for the best outdoor adventures. When you've had enough of the wonders of nature there is plenty to do in the area, including the towns of Brevard, Hendersonville, and Asheville.

The apartment is equipped with a queen-size bed, full kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals when you decide to stay in for the day and relax. There is a lovely covered porch overlooking the woods with a porch swing and outdoor table for dining alfresco. You might even catch sight of the resident white squirrel! This is a quiet area where on clear nights you will see a sky full of stars.

Access is down a flight of stone steps so is not readily handicapped accessible (see pictures). Parking is in our shared driveway. We live in the main house and are happy to have as much or as little contact as our guests desire.

Excellent Stay!

The pictures don’t do justice to this beautiful apartment and garden. Mary and Tom are kind hosts and provided so many comforts, like half and half for coffee, fresh cookies, and a well-stocked kitchen. I worked remotely for a week here (great internet) and at various points also had others in my family here (husband and son), and it was spacious and perfect. One of the best VRBO properties I’ve ever stayed in.

Idyllic retreat

Tom’s & Mary’s little place is so charming. It was immaculate and beautifully designed with every detail for a guest considered. I loved the patio and surrounding forest. It was so relaxing. It’s secluded but close to Looking Glass falls and downtown Brevard. I loved it, I would definitely stay there again! Perfect!

Excellent in all respects.

Our host was on the spot as we arrived, was a BIG help in getting us settled and reloaded at homegoing time. The apartment is equipped with everything that a visitor could need. An especially nice touch: a booklet with information, put together and addressed to us. We would like to return.

Weekend oasis

From the moment I arrived I was so happy I selected this apartment. I was looking for some peace and serenity. This was the perfect place. I enjoyed my morning coffee sitting outside watching hummingbirds and bees. The apartment itself was comfortable- not too large, not too small. Mary and Tom checked in on me, which was nice. I know the area pretty well, but if I had not there was a ton of information about the surrounding area and things to do. I definitely plan to return.
