Overview

About the property

At the turn of the century my great grandfather and grandmother, George and Golda Scott, purchased this farm.

In 1963, when my father graduated from Ohio State with a degree in agriculture, Great grandpa George gave him and my mother this farm.

My parents farmed this (along with about 900 other acres) and raised three daughters here.

After my parents’ death in 2004 and 2005, I, Dalelene, that middle daughter, and my husband, Dave, and our youngest daughter bought the farm and relocated here from Lancaster. We are so happy to live here.

After living “back home” for five years, we decided to use this beautiful farm for more than just a residence.

The George and Goldie CabinWe thought that others would enjoy our 80 acres. So, with the help of Ron White Builders, we built our first cabin to allow others to experience the calmness, serenity, and solitude of our family farm. We named this first cabin after my great grandparents, George and Golda (I called her Grandma Goldi) Scott; the George and Goldi.

We hope you enjoy the property and remember with fondness, your time here.

Even better than imagined!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I got away here for our 20th anniversary. It was even more than we hoped for. Here are some highlights:

~quiet, private and very peaceful setting

~well maintained cute cabin

~beautiful views everywhere, but especially on front porch while eating meals

~stargazing while in hot tub was breathtaking

~loft bedroom was comfortable with the air conditioning and ceiling fan and my husband who is 6'2" didn't feel confined in that smaller area

A great get away for my 12 year old grandson and I.

We both had a great time. While Hocking Hills hiking was fun - he loved staying at the cabin the most. His favorite things were the loft bedroom, the camp fire ring, and the hot tub. We hope to return someday. Kay

Great weekend getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Had a great weekend at the cabin. Place was just as pictures shown. This place have a great view from the front porch. The cabin is a hidden gem and I am so glad I found it. The owners are every friendly and are every quick to respond to any questions. Close to Athens and not to far from Hocking Hills. The Redbones loved running around the property and loved walking through Hocking Hills. We will be planning another trip to come back and hopefully for a longer stay.

Thanks for a good time,

William, Shannon, Reba, and Copper
