This cosy two bedroom cottage is located in a quite little village of Jacobs Well. Located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, located just 10 minutes off the M1 (Pacific Highway) after a quite scenic drive through beautiful sugar cane fields. The house itself is suited just a short stroll from the main street of town and the foreshore.
As the gateway to southern Moreton Bay, Jacobs Well is well-known for its fishing and boating. The boat ramp located in town is an ideal launch site to access the islands and channels of the Jumpinpin area and the Gold Coast Broadwater. Boaties will enjoy exploring the myriad of islands in the coastal channel with no major obsticles or bridges to spoil the fun! Fisherman will find nearby estuary waters teeming with vairuous breads of fish, reel them in from the jetty or over the side of a boat.
Families are well catered for also with the 3 of the major theme parks only approximately 15 minutes drive away. The heart of the Gold Coast and Harbour Town are about 30 minutes drive away. On the Jacobs Well Foreshore you will find a sandy (still water but tidal) beach facing Moreton Bay, with an enclosed netted off swimming area, BBQ facilities, a well stocked fishing tackle & bait shop, a four-lane boat ramp, pontoon and parking for cars with trailers. There is also a large oval and mini skate park in town. Calypso Bay is short 5 minute drive away.
The house itself is a quant little home. However, the property is well maintained. The large outdoor deck is perfect for enjoying a BBQ or relaxing at the end of a busy day exploring what the local area has to offer. The house has 2 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 4 people or the average family. A queen bed in the master and a double bed in the 2nd bedroom. The loungeroom and each bedroom has its own reverse cycle airconditioner. For those travelling with a baby or young toddler, a portacot can be set up for use during your stay. All linnen and bath towels are provided for your stay. The Kitchen comes fully equipped and has all of the basic appliances and a few basic condiments (tea, coffe, sugar, salt, pepper, oil, sauces, breakfast spreads) for use.
The property is fully fenced and with prior arrangment and approval, your family dog(s) can to stay also - strictly outside only and you take full responsibiltiy for its actions.
Please note strictly no animals/pets are permitted inside at all.
Please note unfortuately the double bay shed will be locked and not availble for use during the stay. There is however parking for 2 cars (or boat) under the double garage.
