About Brenda S. Jones

Graduated from Auburn in 1977 with a BS in Accounting. Now live in Hammond, LA

My husband graduated from LSU med school but is now an Auburn fan. He even wore an Auburn shirt to the Auburn-LSU game! He retired from his private practice last year after 25 tears and accepted a position with VA in Biloxi, MS where he was recently promoted to Chief of the Primary Care Clinic. He is also retired Lt Col from the Air National Guard after 20 year of service.

My son graduated from Auburn in 2015. He is currently employed at Tinker AFB in OKC. He is an aerospace engineer working on the B52 bombers. This Fall he will be attending graduate school hopefully at Auburn.

My daughter is a recent graduate of Converse College in Spartanburg, SC with a degree in Interior design. Although she did not attend Auburn, she bleeds orange and blue. She currently works for a design firm in Greenville, SC and has just purchased her first house.

Clean, Spacious, Convenient. Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

This condo had everything you need and more. Can't say enough. Would definitely stay here again. Brenda was wonderful and what you see on the website is very accurate. My son had to stay her during exam week because his lease was up and he had to turn in his key. This allowed him to be stress free and hit the books and much more practical than a hotel. Thank you Brenda for your hospitality.

This condo is in a perfect location - close to everything. I have stayed here several times and every time, without fail, the place is clean and ready to go. Plenty of room to spread out. I'll be back! :-)

Terrific location

Great apartment. Everything included. Very well maintained.

Only downfall is close to railroad tracks, so at 645 am it is loud!

Great Location- Beautiful Condo

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I visited our freshman son for the October 1, 2016 Auburn game. Our first time in town for a game, and our first VRBO in Auburn, although we have been to Auburn many, many times for trips to see the campus with our son and daughter. First I must say, that Brenda the owner is amazing, and it very quick to respond to emails, which happen to be quite a few. The condo itself is in fantastic shape, located on the fourth floor of the four story building, and main doors are exterior, and very Auburn-y decor...With two queen beds (we did not use the pull out sofa) and two flat screen televisions. Plenty of towels, hairdryer, and soap/shampoo. We did not use the kitchen for any cooking but seemed to have plenty of supplies. The building itself is in good shape, obviously a previous suite hotel at one time I believe, with a huge lobby and great patio out front at the corner, with an additional patio near the workout room.

As a renter, we were given one parking pass for the weekend, but inquired with the complex manager if we get one for our son's car as well (he has to move his car even further out of his remote parking lot on game days), but were told that not this weekend due to high number of actual owners being in for the Homecoming Weekend, but he was nice enough to point out an area very close to the parking lot to park for free, which we did. One nice thing I did not expect, but was very nice, was an ice machine right down from the condo for tailgate coolers. Great!

The location is very close to campus at the corner of Glenn and Donahue, (you can see the stadium from that corner) and a quick walk to Momma Goldbergs (one of my favorite campus stops). It is a little bit of a walk to Toomer's corner, but we made the trip many times during our stay, as we just parked our car on Friday and walked everywhere to avoid the hassle of trying to find a parking place.

Previous reviewers mentioned the proximity to the train tracks, and yes indeed, this end unit is very close to the tracks, and we did hear a few trains, but very tolerable in my opinion, and did not seem very frequent during our weekend stay. Two small issue would be for anyone with mobility issues, (which we do not)- 1) The building has two elevators, but this condo unit is the most distant from them, so a little bit of a walk to get to them, and 2) The two queen beds are a little higher in height than normal (but there is a step stool in the kitchen to help I would imagine).
