About Jake Huggins

We are two young professionals who live in Newport year round. The property was purchased in 2014 and underwent a full renovation as it was a real fixer upper. Inspired by television shows and cases of "fixer upper" stories we were driven to get our hands dirty. After lots of hard work and late nights we accomplished a full renovation. This has allowed us to create a comfortable and contemporary space that is very difficult to find in historic Newport. We preserved and improved upon period details that existed while updating the space to better fit a modern lifestyle. We hope that you enjoy your stay!

Lovely, clean and close to EVERYTHING! Owners are great!

We stayed at this beautiful home during the Newport 10 Miler. We highly recommend you stay here. The house is so clean and close to all the cool places. And we really enjoyed getting to know the owners. They are super friendly. We will definitely stay here again!

Nice place! Would go back

Went there for vacations with my husband. We booked 4 nights and ended up staying 3 more, that says it all about how we liked the place. It was clean, bright, modern, close to everything in town by walk, quiet at night and safe. Communications with the owners were very easy. We had a little issue with the Internet connection, which was addressed promptly by the owner. The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because I wished the kitchen was better equipped with pans, pots and tools since we love to cook, especially when we stay many nights at a place. Despite that, I would certainly go back and I would recommend this place.

Stayed in Newport for 2 nights with2 kids for s sailing regatta. This place was perfect. Brand new and close to town. A bonus is that it came with a parking spot. I will definitely go back and have already recommended it to a friend.

Loved it!

We loved our stay in Newport! The place is immaculate- beautifully redone kitchen and bath, new furnishings, sparkling clean. Great location as well: easy to access/park, easy to walk to shops, restaurants, nightlife, waterfront, everything you could need, yet still quiet enough to feel "away from it all." Perfect rental for romantic weekend away, girls weekend, families- anyone!

The location is great and you can walk to just about everything in town. It is newly renovated, spacious and beautifully done. The off street parking makes life a lot easier as well. We had a great stay and would go back in a second.

Great long weekend escape!

My friend and I stayed at this property over the Memorial Day weekend and enjoyed our experience. The place is spacious and lit with lots of sunlight. The pull-out couch in the living room is comfortable and can accommodate an additional two people. There is a private entrance in the back of the house. The kitchen is fully equipped and has new high quality appliances. The unit is brand new and has a fresh feel to it. Location is very convenient and a short walk to Thames street with all the restaurants and shops. I would like to stay there again!
