Great get away
Awesome stay!! Host was super helpful and responsive. Hot tub was really clean and worked great as well as the cabin.
Would definitely recommend and stay here at any time.
Place is dirty, no hand towels in kitchen, bathroom. No dishwasher. Couches are dirty
Place was not properly clean with weird extremely bright lighting in the house. On top of it, no hand towels anywhere. When you to bathroom, don't forget to take your own or you will be lost in the middle of nowhere. Only thing we enjoyed was the hottub, beautifully placed and functional. We did not pay attention before booking, there was no dishwasher. It was a nightmare to clean dishes. Things you can enjoy here is nature and trees. This place is located right across the road. Not a secluded property in case you are searching for one. Overall, meh experience.
Memorable Adventures in Luray!
Great cabin in an amazing area. Luray Caverns were beautiful. Hiking at SNP was so much fun. Kayaking the Shenandoah River on a warm and sunny day, perfect! Took tons of pictures and they're all breathtaking. Needed the password for the internet and Cara replied with the information literally within minutes. Truly had a spectacular week thanks to Cara and her lovely cabin and friendly family!
There was not a hair dryer, no WiFi, hot tub did not heat, could not get TV to work (only dvr) the exterior needed landscaping trim. The toilet was not clean (it was not terrible-but had been a long time since cleaned), the spare bedroom had an oder (maybe dead mouse?), the water had a very strong sulfur smell. None of this is deal breakers-but nice to know for the price.
I am currently at the cabin writing this response from my WIFI connection and surfing the internet just to make sure it works. I am not experiencing any problems.
Sounds like the hot tub was in sleep mode, this unfortunately happens with that hot tub when people push too many buttons at the same time.
The sulfar smell is from the hot water tank and is only a problem when you first start running the hot water.
My cabin has never received a complaint about smells or not being clean.
I pride myself on the cleanliness of my cabin and I think all my guest reviews that has never been an issue.
I live 10 minutes from the cabin and would have been happy to have reset the hot tub or helped with the WIFI if you had contacted me.
A great cabin getaway
We stayed in the property for 3 nights this weekend. It was an amazing little cabin, totally renovated with great decor. The kitchen was large with everything you needed (oven/dishes/coffee maker/fridge). The large living room is wonderful with an extremely comfortable couch. The hot tub is right outside and the area surrounding the cabin is lovely. We had no issues with getting signal for phones or WiFi. It worked well! I am in a wheelchair and it is very easily accessible if you have good ability rolling in some grass/gravel to get up to it. I could easily move throughout it! Thanks for the wonderful stay!
What a wonderful get away! We enjoyed cooking out, fire pit and the river activities close by. Can’t wait to go back.
Within walking distance of Shenandoah River Outfitters.
