Located on the hill in the north side of El Centro, across from historical landmark Cristo Rei park and church, this executive apartment offers breathtaking view of the city and the Andes mountain range from the large windows in every room. See the magnificent views change from dawn to dusk, and in the evening, thousands of warms lights glimmer from below and in the distance. The 2 bedroom 1 office 2 bath apartment is fully furnished with beautiful, top quality furniture. The large kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances and fully stocked with nice dinnerware and stemware. Rental includes utilities, cable, internet.

The view from the building is absolutely stunning. Our realtor said: "There are some apartments in Cuenca with nice views, but to get an entire view of the city and all the mountains surrounding it, this is it!"

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is on the north side of El Centro, about 15 minute walk uphill from the Cathedral, or 10 minute walk downhill, or about $1.50 to $2.00 taxi ride. Being on the north side and on the hill, one can escape the downtown congestion, the exhaust from the buses, and the noise (honking) from the cars.

Excellent condo, good value, safe neighbourhood and location.

This was a beautifully maintained and outfitted condo. It was clean, tastefully decorated, excellent cleaning supplies and equipment (or could hire someone to do so). Kitchen had an excellent assortment of dishes, cutlery, glasses, knives, pots & pans, etc. Located within relatively easy walking distance to the central square. Cabs were cheap and readily available if needed. The condo owner was responsive and helpful. He provided an excellent guidebook of resources, tips on things to see and do, nice restaurants, how to get around. Property Managers were superb - helpful, responsive and friendly. Could not ask for a nicer place to stay while in Cuenca.

Fabulous view , great location, gracious managers/hosts

Apartment had everything we needed. Fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms and study, lovely view of El Central old town from living room. Even a tv with sound bar, cable tv and a bunch of dvds for the days we cooked at home and had movie night. Had a grand time here.

This is a modern, stylish apartment in an impeccably-kept building just 10 minutes walk down to the historic centre (and a quick taxi ride back up). The kitchen is fully equipped. The view of the city from the living room windows is stunning. The property is managed by a friendly and very helpful Canadian couple living next door. There is a convenience store at street level and taxis can be easily hailed out front. In terms of amenities and convenience, it would be hard to imagine a better option in Cuenca.

Modern fully equiped property walking distance to the historic center with a great view.

The property is on the second floor of a new modern secure building located accross from an old church. As the property is on a hill it overlooks the historic center and has a great view of the domed cathedral and most of the city. On arrival we were greeted at the door by the propery managers, Danica and Ron, who are also your next door neighbours. They were kind enough to go with us to the historic center and show us where the mercado (market) was so we could get a few groceries. The apartment is quite spacious with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, fully equiped kitchen, living and dining room, and washer and dryer. It is about a 10-15 minute walk to The center of the historic district with many shops, restaurants, tiendas, churches and the flower market. We used this property as a base to explore other areas outside Cuenca such as Cajas National Park, Craft Making villages, Devil's Nose Train and the Inca ruins at Ingapirca. There are many restaurants within walking distance serving everything you might want. We came to love the many bakeries around serving up fresh baked breads, buns and great pastries.The owner was gracious enough to allow us an early check-in and a late check-out due to our flight times, thank you Joe! Joe also sent in advance of our arrival a package of information to help prepare us for our time in Cuenca including recommendations on tour providers. Communications and payments were easy. We would definately recommend this property to others.

The apartment was great, everything we needed was available. The first few days we took the taxi everywhere, the taxi fare was quite low. After we got familiar with the neighborhoods, we started exploring on foot. Joe provided a lot of information which helped us with our trip. The property managers, Ron and Danica, were very responsive, reliable and helpful. There was a time we needed help with a phone call since we couldn’t speak Spanish. They made the call for us. Very nice people. We loved the place.

Our Top Choice in South America

We stayed for about 3 weeks during our long S. American trip and we had the most comfortable stay. The apartment was spacious, beautifully equipped and had gorgeous views. The blinds in our boom kept the room dark, making for a restful sleep. When we rolled up the blinds in the morning, we were greeted with the beautiful sky, city and mountains. It rained several times when we were there. When it was sunny, there was a lot of light coming in through the windows.

The owner was very helpful. Before we left, he gave us a wealth of information including which places to visit, where to shop, where to eat, etc. Our absolute favorite information was the list of longer stays which included a list of drivers, tours, masseurs, dancing lessons, cooking classes, etc. It was a useful resource for us and we used it frequently. We have traveled to many countries and we have never encountered an owner who was so thorough. He gave us a great peace of mind. The property managers also earned top marks with us.

We stayed at 7 vacation rentals in South America. This apartment was the best and we would highly recommend it to anyone.
