Ski in - Ski out Slopeside. Best affordable location within the Big Sky Resort base area. Family friendly environment with a great lounge area to play games by the open fireplace. Large pool and spa area with updated workout equipment. Our unit has updated furniture in the living room and bedroom. We sleeps 2-6 people with one bedroom, two full baths, pull out sofa bed and a murphy bed. All mattress are new. Full kitchen so you can create a warm family vacation. Summer walk to the chair lift to experience a nature hike or mountain bile down the ski trails.

About Diane Bartzick

My name is Diane and my family includes my husband Albert and 2 children Rachael and Daniel. Albert and I fell in love with Big Sky some 25 years ago. We purchased this condo so that our children could escape from Westchester County in New York and experience the great outdoors. Both of our children learned to ski at Big Sky Resort as early as 3 years of age. My family wanted to experience life here in Big Sky for a full year. Both children attended Ophir School. Nine Years later we never left. We all live full time in Big Sky. Our children graduated from Lone Peak High School.

My family loves to fish, ski, snowmobile and dirt bike.

We are local here in Big Sky and ready to assist you in enjoying Big Sky as much as we do on a daily bases

The community here is rich in activities and so family friendly. We have a great free concert series here every summer along with a farmers market. To get outdoors and visit with people is a great experience. Another newly added feature is the Professional Bully Ride that comes here. This is the third year they are returning.

Winter is fabulous for all outdoor enthusiasts. One highlight is the school here takes the kids skiing 6 Fridays during the winter as part of their gym class. Skiing and outdoor activities are available for all.

Cozy space, great location.

We typically stay in much larger condos with more amenities, but our extended family couldn't join us this trip (only 2 adults + 2 kids). So, setting expectations properly is important. For example, the kitchen is tiny and the laundromat is in the basement of an adjacent building. It's all totally functional and as advertised, just no frills. It was also a lot less expensive than a big ski-in/out condo. :)

This condo is a clean and cozy space on the 2nd floor of a hotel of similar units, mixed hotel-style occupants and individual owners with different management companies. So while the hotel staff are friendly and will answer questions, they don't "work for you" so to speak (they don't do housekeeping on your unit like a hotel; you can't call the front desk or room service). We never experienced any noise problems, which sometimes plague a hotel experience.

Free ski storage (owner units only) in the hotel's boot room was very handy. The hotel is neither ski-in nor ski-out since you have to carry your gear a few hundred feet through the base village. Or you can pay for ski storage by the lifts like everyone else if you don't want to carry.

The parking lot is a long way from the room, but the condo has a surprisingly large amount of storage space. You can unload everyone and everything at the lobby door, then go park. And since you are right there at the base, you might not need your car all week. The base mall's convenience store has stuff like handwarmers and expensive ketchup if you forgot anything on your grocery run.

We had a great time. Dianne was an excellent host, very responsive to any questions we had.

Amazing Montana

10 time coming to Big Sky, firsr time using this unit. Simply can’t go wrong with this building and this unit is exactly as advertised. Unit is clean, yes it is right over the entrance but i am a super light sleeper and had no issue. Owner is local which was nice to know even though we had no issues. This unit will be on our short list for next years trip.

Big sky is a dream mountain could never do all of it in one visit

The apt is comfortable with all the equipment you need I think for a couple like us good size comfortable bed not sure two couples would work or more than two kids

Be aware this apt is not serviced by Shoshone so the owner arranges parking and pool and everything else especially rides into town and bellman luggage service are not allowed

Note, Big Sky shuttle is only hourly

Trash removal requires you to notify the owner. Oddly there are no

Hooks or coat stands for jackets, ski parkas, helmets and ski gloves a surprising omission for a ski property'

Overall comfortable apt for two.

Bus shuttles to the town center or meadows for shopping or dinners run frequently. We look forward to seeing you in the future.

Great family unit

we had a great stay. As many people have said, the kitchen is stocked with everything that you would need. From baking pans, pots and pans, cheese grater, pizza cutter, Tupperware, spices, tea, Icemaker in the freezer, cutting board, spatulas, everything you could possibly want in your kitchen. The place is clean, easily accessible, great amenities. Communication with the owner was very quick and straightforward. The beds were very comfortable, including the foldout couch and the Murphy bed. The facility itself is great, they have a grocery store on site with very reasonable prices. I am used to very high prices at these type resorts, but I found the prices at the grocery store to be appropriate. The parking is very close. Our family of five has no complaints.

Clean, comfortable & close to the slopes

My first time to Big Sky and I had a really tough time envisioning the mountain layout & base area based on a handful of maps I could find via google. I was pleasantly surprised with how great this location was for lift access, shopping, and apres/bars/restaurants. It's just a few steps across the sidewalk into the village mall that has the 2 main bars, all the little shops, and the mini grocery. It's also right next to the lift ticket center and several other nice restaurants.

The condo itself was nice as well - clean, comfortable, nice furnishings. It was extremely QUIET as well...literally think I heard someone walking down the hall only once or twice over a 5 day period in January! The unit also has a good partial slope view (it overlooks the front drive/valet area). I deducted 1 star though for 3 minor gripes, 2 of which may be out of the owner's control but bothered me. (1) The fireplace didn't work. I think all of the units are awaiting new fireplaces but would have been good to know that upfront. (2) The HVAC system was uncontrollable. You cannot set a specific temperature - it's either off or on. I had it turned on for heat on night one and it was constantly running, sometimes blowing heat and then switching over to AC. It dried the room out so horribly and killed my sinuses, and never actually heated to a warm enough temp for me to be comfortable. Day 2 I found the working humidifier and had that cranking 24/7, turned off the HVAC, and started feeling much better. The whole inability to set a temperature to heat to just made the unit really uncomfortable for me, as I'm always cold. Again, this may be out of the owner's control, but worth complaining about. (3) I've rented a lot of condos and 1st thing I do when I walk in is find the "manual" - usually a binder with everything I need to know: parking, check out procedures, instructions on how to work the HVAC/fireplace/etc., Internet/wifi info. The only thing I could find were some printouts of the mountain and restaurant info. I had to text the owner on the wifi and she did get back promptly which was great, but again should just be in a binder with everything else - including a map with the parking info and what's expected at check-out (run dishwasher?, etc.).

All in all, I'd still rent this unit again and the owner was responsive when I needed assistance. Just a few changes would make this perfect!

Unit was exactly as explained and expected. Great location to all mountain village areas and lifts!

Diane has a great property in good shape and conveniently located in a very nice hotel/condo complex. Also, all staff members at the Shoshone complex are great and very helpful despite the private booking through VRBO. Ski valet area is excellent and private parking is very convenient.

I'd recommend this unit to anyone. We were a family of four with older children and were comfortable. Beds were all comfortable...even the pullout sofa! King bed in bedroom was great.

Only thing I would add if possible is another comfortable chair or perhaps a sectional for one additional living area seat.
