This quirky one bedroom apartment sits proudly on the roof terrace of Venezia Court showcasing breathtaking panoramic views stretching from Port Phillip Bay to the Melbourne CBD. This little beauty was, in the 1960s, the care taker's residence prior to being transformed into a quaint home.
Located along one of Melbourne’s finest foreshores and opposite Catani Gardens, it is only a short stroll from Luna Park, Acland Street, the Palais Theatre, the Sunday Markets on the Esplanade, the Grand Prix circuit and so much more. Easy access to public transport into the Melbourne CBD and MCG.
Venezia Court is on the doorstep of St Kilda's bustling cafe & wine bar precinct. Built in the 1920's for Melbourians to visit the seaside. The building has retained her originality, but this does mean guests need to walk up 4 levels to the rooftop terrace. But don't let this deter you because the view is stunning. Venezia Court consists of 16 apartments occupied by Owners mostly, therefore, not suitable for partygoers or more than 2 guests.
Our guests will have full access to the apartment. The rooftop is a shared space and there are specific rules which must be adhered to.
The apartment is secured with locks and a security screen.
Trams 16, 96, 12 & 3a are at the doorstep offering direct routes into the city, South Melbourne & Victoria markets, Melbourne’s Art district, the MGC or take a short work to Albert Park Lake home of the Australian Grand Prix. Trams are the easiest and most economical mode of transport with 3 different stops less than 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Uber, taxi, buses are plentiful also. Time-tables are available in the Welcome Pack.
The airport is 24 km away. Airport shuttle services drop off (and pick) 250m away from the apartment.
The apartment is located close to the heart of St Kilda's nightlife and cafe jaunts so this does mean guests may hear the sounds of this most amazing city. Events in Catani Gardens may also intrude, occasionally, like the St Kilda St music Festival (must do) beer and wine festival (only 30 steps to stagger), the Gay Pride concert (80's revival), Triathalons and Sunday donkey rides ( I kid you not), so get amongst it! As it directly faces the beachfront, any inclement weather will be more pronounced, but no need to despair rug up on the comfy leather recliner sofa to watch one of the 100s movies available for your enjoyment at the apartment or take a short walk to Acland Street's cosy jazz bars. Or the MEMO Music Hall which is an iconic performance venue in the heart of St Kilda run in partnership with the St Kilda RSL. Located behind the RSL, MEMO offers a diverse program of entertainment including, live music, theatre, filming and music ranging from classical recitals to down and dirty rock ‘n’ roll.
Inside the apartment has been recently refurbished focusing on having a high-quality leather recliner sofa, very comfortable mid firm posture mattress (from Bed Shed), Sheridan linen and towels with mattress and pillows protectors for the comfort of guests. All items of linen, towels, blankets are laundered and pressed. As hosts, we pride ourselves on presenting a spotlessly clean holiday let to our guests.
