This downstairs Getaway has a full kitchen with granite counters, new appliances, dining area, hard wood floors throughout and a spacious outdoor patio complete with seating and barbeque! Both bedrooms are complete with luxurious bedding, ceiling fans, and Large flat screen TVs with cable for your vacation enjoyment. 1 Bedroom has a King bed and 1 has a Queen bed with sofa bed in front room that sleeps 2. Other amenities include high speed wireless internet, front room large flat screen TV, DVD player, cable, Coin operated washer/dryer in the laundry room located beside the garage. Beach enjoyment includes umbrella, ice chest, wagon, boogie boards, beach towels and 2 chairs.

Great place in ideal location for family with little kids

Overall, my fam was very happy with our stay. The owner, Doug, was a pleasure to work with - very responsive and happy to help in any way.

The location is perfect -- just a couple blocks away from shopping & restaurants, and the beach is just a couple blocks the other direction.

The patio was the perfect little "play area" for our two kids, ages 3 and 16 months, to hang out / play around.

We loved renting bikes - and Doug had a major coupon that we took advantage of. It was a perfect daytime activity for the fam.

Only a couple drawbacks, if you could call them that:

1 - there really wasn't anywhere to unpack our clothes. There aren't real drawers to or dressers to unpack. There are some closets, but we had to set up our crib right in front of the closet so it was impossible to use it.

2 - Toaster didn't work, but I know Doug is fixing that.

3 - The TV remote controls gave us trouble, but I know Doug is fixing that too.

Overall, this fit our needs perfectly and we would stay here again!

Fabulous location one block to the beach one block to town

Doug Johnston is a pleasure to deal with. The unit is comfortable and has everything you need. The linens are nice and the beds are comfortable. The beach is beautiful and just one block away. CDM is also just on block the other way and you can truly walk to all conveniences. Newport Beach is 3 minutes away and bikeable, Laguna is a lovely 3 minute drive, great views particularly with the top down. We rented a convertible car and appreciated having a garage so we could leave the top down over night.

This by far has been one of the best vacation spots for our family. This particular property has everything you need to get away.
