Incredible, convenient, and comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

The houseboat was comfortable, clean, and homey. Four of us stayed in the houseboat in September 2017 and we did not feel crowded. Waking up and looking out the window to see the ducks right outside the window was such a peaceful way to wake up. Loved it.

The location was perfect. A short walk over the canal brought us to Tram 14 which, took us to Dam Square, Rembrandt Square, or Central Station All within 15 minutes. Just down the road is the windmill brewery and a good restaurant S&W (Schnitzel & Weitzel). The best pretzel bread cheese sandwich, apple streusel (tastes like Christmas), and a delicious chicken and avocado sandwich.

I look forward to returning to Amsterdam and will stay in the houseboat if there is availability. It was perfect.

Great location and owner

  • 4 of 5

Nice alternative to a hotel. Owner was very accommodating with our luggage for an early arrival. Easy bus ride from the central train station. (On day of arrival, discovered and used storage lockers there instead.) Great local restaurants a short walk away. Nice to stay on a canal. Train tracks nearby were annoying the first night but got used to it.

Beautiful Houseboat!

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect and even cuter in person than shown in pictures! The houseboat is close the bus and tram stop making it easy to access the city. Everything was clean and in perfect order. Plenty of space in this well taken care of property. Thank you for letting us use your property!

i really liked the place , comfortable and neat . Short walk to transport. Everything it promised ... watch your step on the ramp if it's snowing , it can get slippery.

A unique place to stay in Amsterdam

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at one of the apartments on this houseboat for a few days while preparing to move to Amsterdam. It is small, fine for one or two people but would be crowded with more. It's definitely more interesting than a run-of-the-mill flat, and fun to be on the water with ducks and such swimming up to the windows. Two things to note: There is a washer for laundry but no dryer, and as others have noted the trains nearby are noticeable. It is conveniently located, within a few steps of both the bus stop and a tram stop, with shops a couple of blocks away. Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few days in Amsterdam but does not need to be right in the center of town.
