About Peter Fitzpatrick

This property has been in the Fitzpatrick family for generations. We immigrated in the late 70s early 80s to England then the United States. Our first love was always "home" so we packed up our family , three children by that time and made the big move. We always appreciated the beauty of Doolin and surrounding area . Our brothers and sisters live beside us and all have a great sense of tradition whether it be for the land or the great gift of music. Our little nieces and nephews are county champions in Irish dance and play several instruments a great asset if you want to share with guests coming to our beautiful area.

Peter Fitzpatrick purchased this house in 2013

Why Peter Fitzpatrick chose Doolin

The property is family owned. It was built by Pat Fizpatrick and son Peter finished to a high standard as they are skilled craftsmen in the trades. You can see and feel the Love that went into building this little retreat.

What makes this house unique

The beauty of the location is indescribable it has to be seen to be hold your heart. The views from the upstairs living area are absolutely breathtaking. The roof is opened with large windows to the sky and outward to the magnificent scenery ocean mountain and land. It has open plan living areas. If you experience one of those "soft" weather days you can wrap yourself up infront of the fire and feel like your on a peaceful little island.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this home over Christmas! Peter was very nice and was available to answer any of our questions. The home is quite close to the Cliffs of Mother as well Doolin. We highly recommend staying at this home!

So warm and wonderful

I made these reservations for a friend, unfortunately she was hit by hurricane Irma and fell and broke her foot and had to cancel. Mr. Fitzgerald was so wonderful and refunded her money. She is heartbroken and once she recovers will be reserving this house again.

Highly recommended

  • 5 of 5

Peter's home is nice and in a good location. He and his mother are very easy to deal with and attentive to any needs that arise. There is plenty to do within and hour drive of Doolin and all around Doolin. It's a great place to relax or stay busy all day exploring the peninsula. The pubs in Doolin are great and there are a few local taxi options for nights out.

What a beautiful house. So clean and homey. The views are spectacular. My family of 8 stayed there for 3 nights. Everything was ready for us with easy access to the house. The house is a bit remote but only a quick ride into Doolin. My family had to drag me away when our stay was over. I would have stayed there the rest of my life if I could. Doolin it the most fun little town with great pubs and delicious food. Took the boat out to the Island for a day of fun. The boat gave us a sea view of the Cliff of Moher on the way back. If we ever get back to Ireland we will stay there for at least a week. Loved it. Marna Sanborn, June 2017

Spectacular cliff cottage

  • 5 of 5

Our recent five night stay in doolin was amazing !! The home was immaculate and very comfortable. It's up a hill with incredible expansive ocean /countryside views. Can see the Aran islands on ocean horizon! Very centrally located for visits to the burrren, Galway ,cliffs of moher, quaint seaside village of doolin. Our host, Lorraine, was exceptionally nice and accommodating! The cliff walk with local farmer Pat Sweeney was a major highlight of the trip!

Beautiful home and wonderful location

  • 4 of 5

This is a lovely place....the home is charming and in a great spot. It was cloudy and rainy, thus a little cold.....the heater system is on a timed system which was not well timed with our activities, which was unfortunate. We all got soaked hiking the Cliffs of Moher, and the washer and dryer was very helpful! One suggestion .... have some soaps, shampoos, etc in the bathrooms (when you fly and carry on luggage those are hard things to travel with)....Second suggestion, more heat! In general it was terrific, and we enjoyed our time in Doolin at McGann's, O'Connor's and Fitzpatrick's Pubs! Highlight was the hike along the Cliffs, starting in Doolin and heading towards the visitors center......
