A refurbishment that is still a work in progress, our rustic home in the town of Forrest is a wonderful place to stay whether you are exploring the Otways, the Great Ocean road, having dinner at Brae, or just spending a weekend discovering Forrest's mountain bike trails and brewery.
Our home is comfortable but basic - we stay there ourselves as often as we can, but it is a small and pretty basic house, so if you are expecting 4 or 5 star accommodation, our house will not be for you!
Also, we only supply mattresses and pillows. You will need to bring your own pillow cases, quilts, bed linen and towels. We do this to keep things simple.
The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, whilst the second bedroom has four single beds in the form of two sets of single bunks. Heating is provided by a wood heater in the kitchen and an open fire place in the living room. There are a couple of electric oil heaters for your use as well. The house is draughty, so it's a good idea to pack blankets and slippers for those cold Otways nights! The kitchen is well stocked with the utensils you would need for a family stay. The bathroom is neat but basic, with a shower over bath, but the water is hot and runs well.
We have a pet friendly policy provided that you let us know in advance, and charge an additional fee for your pet to stay. We expect you to clean thoroughly after you pet, including poo, fur and footprints.
Please be aware that we have 4 security cameras on the outside of the house. There are no cameras inside.
