About Keith and Dawn Anderson

We grew up in Maine and love it here on the water. Maine is beautiful, relaxing and filled with fun adventures. Cobbossee Lake is HUGE ...awesome for jet skiing! And it's also known for bass fishing; we keep trying to catch that really big one:)

Keith and Dawn Anderson purchased this cottage in 2015

Why Keith and Dawn Anderson chose Kennebec

Our property is located at the northern end of Cobbossee Lake which makes it very convenient to get to. AND, our lot is large and private with a great shoreline and wonderful views.

What makes this cottage unique

Our property includes TWO cabins, each with its own dock. There is a no-wake zone in front of our property making it safer for swimmers and easier to get boats in and out. Have fun out on the water during the day and relax by a campfire at night... a great Maine experience for locals and visitors!

Nice lakeside setting.

  • 4 of 5

Nice main cabin. The small cabin is great.our daughters loved it. Great yard. Loved sitting by the lake around the fire pit.

Beautiful views. A bit mucky for swimming and also very shallow. Only caught sun fish but, we had a wonderful time.

We had a great time on the lake. Loons greeted us each morning and we loved it. It is a great spot and we enjoyed it immensely.

Overall a good vacation

  • 4 of 5

My family and I stayed here for two weeks. Owners were very responsive to messages. Cabins were exactly as described. We did use both cabins. I will suggest that adding a dorm sized refrigerator in the guest cabin would be nice. Otherwise I enjoyed that cabin a lot. We did have a couple of disappointments on arrival. You have to pay to use their firewood. At $175/night I think it should be included. It's been included at other cabins we have stayed in in the area. Also, there was only one towel between the two cabins. Luckily we had brought towels for our dog so we used those. Having a couple of extra window fans would be nice. The main cabin gets hot. We had brought our own but it would have been nice to not have to take up the extra space in our car. The grill could use an upgrade. Took about an hour to cook anything after it heated up. The lake was beautiful but it is a very busy spot with the amount of boats going in and out of the lake. The swimming was ok. Very mucky and grassy not far from the dock so swimming in deep water wasn't an option. The property is located close and convenient to Augusta and Fielders. We probably won't return due to the location. It's just too busy for us even though on most nights it was peaceful.

Great spot right next to the water

  • 5 of 5

Really liked this place, plenty of beds to sleep in, a kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 docks for the boats and boat launch right around the corner. First time staying here but will most likely be back again.
