Quite comfortable accommodations and loved the location, being close to everything.

  • 5 of 5

Owner Ted and staff were quite friendly and courteous. House was comfortable and was extremely well built. We loved being being "in the middle" of the various towns, beaches, trails, and other things we were attracted to.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

It doesn't happen often, but this property was actually better than the pictures! The owner, Ted, has put a lot of thought into the design, furnishings, and amenities, and as a result, it is a very comfortable, functional, and fun place to stay. He really seems to want his guests to enjoy themselves! Kitchen is well-stocked, he bought a new grill while we were there, lots of windows, great indoor and outdoor space, beautiful finishes (tile, flooring, furniture, etc.), plenty of space, and very accommodating. Couldn't ask for anything more!

Beautiful setting and close to every attraction the area has to offer🌟

  • 5 of 5

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the "Dancing Bear Lodge". It is a beautiful setting to enjoy all that that part of upper Michigan has to offer. The house is incredibly comfortable, and family friendly. We have 3 teenage boys, and there's plenty to do. The house is also centrally located to beaches, town, rivers. We hiked, kayaked, biked into town, had several bonfires, and frequented the beach. We also enjoyed making meals together in the beautifully stocked kitchen. Our family loves to cook together, so this was a bonus. We highly recommend staying here. Don't hesitate on this one!!! Very worth it!

Exceeded Expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Dancing Bear Lodge. The accommodations were exceptional. The house provided all the room we needed for our four children plus our dog --both inside and out. Our daughter loved staying in the loft area overlooking the fabulous family area. Both the indoor shower and outdoor shower provided enough room for our clan to clean up after a day hiking, site seeing or enjoying the beach. The warehouse sized bonus area downstairs provided plenty of activities to keep our kids busy in the evening with baseball, basketball, golf cart, tv (we brought our Wii to set up on the big screen). The owner, Ted, was even kind enough to set up a new ping pong table while we were there. Our kids loved it! We also enjoyed the outside area with fire pit, bikes, and room to get out and about for our puppy. We truly loved our stay! The area is incredible as well. The beauty of the landscape combined with the activities available can't be beat. Ted even took a couple of us out on his boat to catch a Lake Michigan salmon which we enjoyed tonight for dinner. He gave us valuable tips on what to see and where to eat out, even drawing us a map. This rental truly is a hidden gem, stay here, unless we return then leave that week open for us!!

Great Home on the Leelanau

  • 4 of 5

Very nice and clean newer home close to the Leelanau and Sleeping Bear dunes, and only about a half hour fromTraverse City. The home has very nice amenities including a great kitchen, several tv's with satellite, wifi, washer/dryer, nice bathroom and two good sized bedrooms with comfortable beds. A couple of things to know, it's removed enough from a city that you probably won't get much of a cell signal, but there is a phone and wifi. Also, to get to the home you have to climb a set of external stairs, so it may not be ideal for people that have trouble with stairs.

Overall a great place from which to explore all the area has to offer.
