Super place to stay

  • 4 of 5

Brought our friends with us, they have never been to the area. Great place to stay and day trip to the surrounding wineries and shops.

Charlie met us to make sure we were headed in the right direction.

He was very friendly and showed us around before he left.

Fridge was stocked with milk, oj, and water. Well stocked kitchen for those that want to eat in. Cereal and danish for breakfast too.

The rooms were nice and comfortable. Beautiful setting and will come back

Peace and quiet!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Charlie's farmhouse south of Hermann. If you enjoy an evening fire gazing up at the stars and an immaculately clean well stocked home this is the place to stay. Charlie is very organized and precise in making sure everything is in order for your stay! I would give this property a 10!

Cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the farmhouse and would definitely rent it again! Charles had a fire set up for us in the fire pit when we arrived. There were lovely touches everyone from super soft sheets to nice thick towels. We arrived late and didn't have a chance to get to a grocer but to our surprise there were drinks in the refrigerator, boxes of cereal and even milk! The innkeepers thought of everything... even brochures of businesses and restaurants around the area. My family really enjoyed our time at the farmhouse.

Stay at this house!!

  • 5 of 5

Don't even think about it...stay here!! It's a quiet, secluded, beautiful house (you're not roughing it at all at this place) that sits on beautiful acreage and about 100 steps from a vineyard. The house looks brand new with WiFi, jetted tub and every amenity you could want. If/when we go back to Hermann, I will be scheduling it to be sure to get this house. Besides that, Charles, the owner, was a very nice and gracious guy. Super helpful and easy to work with.

There is a sign hanging in the house that says "Arrive as customers, leave as friends." That's all you need to know about this place. Thanks for everything, Charles. You have a beautiful place and we will be visiting again, as soon as possible!!

A beautiful and peaceful retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Drake guesthouse was most relaxing and rejuvenating. Charley, our host, was very thoughtful and attentive to our needs. The house is comfortable and has what you need to make your own meals. If you are in the mood for amazing breads and sweets, the Hummingbird bakery is about 5 minutes drive.

We loved the natural sounds of nature, walked barefoot between each of the vineyards, saw wild bunnies running around and a few humming birds flying by the house. If you love nature and need to get away from a stressful city life, the Drake guesthouse is the place to go to.
