Stay at this house!!

  • 5 of 5

Don't even think about it...stay here!! It's a quiet, secluded, beautiful house (you're not roughing it at all at this place) that sits on beautiful acreage and about 100 steps from a vineyard. The house looks brand new with WiFi, jetted tub and every amenity you could want. If/when we go back to Hermann, I will be scheduling it to be sure to get this house. Besides that, Charles, the owner, was a very nice and gracious guy. Super helpful and easy to work with.

There is a sign hanging in the house that says "Arrive as customers, leave as friends." That's all you need to know about this place. Thanks for everything, Charles. You have a beautiful place and we will be visiting again, as soon as possible!!

A beautiful and peaceful retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Drake guesthouse was most relaxing and rejuvenating. Charley, our host, was very thoughtful and attentive to our needs. The house is comfortable and has what you need to make your own meals. If you are in the mood for amazing breads and sweets, the Hummingbird bakery is about 5 minutes drive.

We loved the natural sounds of nature, walked barefoot between each of the vineyards, saw wild bunnies running around and a few humming birds flying by the house. If you love nature and need to get away from a stressful city life, the Drake guesthouse is the place to go to.

Very cozy romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary with a weekend in this lovely home. Owner was VERY nice and even met us at road late at night with flashers on so we could find the turn:-) We loved walking the property and vineyards and it was not far from a lot of wineries. The kitchen was fully stocked and house was very clean with beautiful wood floors. Tin Mill brewery was awesome.

Beautiful place in a great location

  • 5 of 5

This property is a gem. The house feels like a luxury spa with a Jacuzzi and piles of freshly-laundered, thick white towels stacked up in the bathrooms. Everything is new, bright, and clean. Lots of natural wood and natural light. An upstairs loft bedroom with computer desk and sitting area that overlooks the vineyard is like a separate apartment within the house. The surrounding land is gorgeous. We walked through the vineyard and wildflower-covered meadows in the mornings, and it was so peaceful. The outdoor fire pit area is simply magical, sitting beside a field where hundreds of fireflies blink at night and a brilliant, starry sky shines overhead. We enjoyed the big-screen TV for late night movies and popcorn. It was super easy to get to Hermann and visit the wineries during the day. The owners could not have been nicer. There were so many nice little touches: wildflowers placed in pretty vases throughout the house, cinnamon rolls and caramel biscotti for breakfast, and a fridge stocked with icy cold beverages. We will certainly be back!

Weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Great property and comfortable bungalow with extra amenities! We had a weekend getaway with my husbands parents to celebrate our anniversaries. Found this stay to be relaxing and with all the comforts of home. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate as it rained the entire time so we missed be able to explore the property as other guests have described. Thank you Charles for a great stay! We hope to come back again some time!
