Cozy and clean

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was perfect for our family of four (2 adults and 2 teens). Even though the queen bed is upstairs, I preferred the cozy downstairs room with a view of the backyard. It is tastefully decorated with everything you need for a comfortable stay (the only thing I would add are some games/puzzles).

The cabin is situated in a nice neighborhood on the west shore between Tahoe Pines and Tahoe City, walking distance to the Fire Sign Cafe, West Shore Market, West Shore Sports and Tahoe Park Beach (use of this member's only beach was a special treat for swimming, picnicking and hanging out). Tahoe City and South Lake Tahoe are easily accessible by car or bike. We would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunate circumstances

  • 3 of 5

The cabin is cute and it would have been perfect except that the upstairs bedroom was not usable. There was an intense odor of urine/ decaying matter. Also heard critters in the wall. It worked out , I slept with my daughter and my husband slept on the couch. Owner was reasonable, but both he and management personnel steered it toward the wool rug. In no way was it the wool rug. It is too bad, because it is a great place and will not return now. If I owned the place, I would of offered up some compensation of some sort. Unfortunate experience and my first with VRBO .

Relaxing family trip in a cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

My 3 kids and I had a great stay at this cozy A frame cabin. The cabin is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The neighborhood is very quiet and far enough away from the city to get the good forest experience but still close enough for a quick store run when needed. The homeowners beach rec area was really nice too. No dishwasher but well setup for getting the dishes done quickly. Cell phone service is bad but the WiFi is respectable. Overall a great place to relax for the day or come back to after a long day of sightseeing. Would love to come back when it’s snowing and give the wood stove a try.

Charming, welcoming and so comfortable.

  • 5 of 5

Arrival was made super easy, which we greatly appreciated when we arrived after dark in the rain. Adorable space with comfortable seating for four in the living room. We were sad that the wood stove was out but it was still very cozy. The two bedrooms were well separated, which felt very private for two couples. There was an additional twin bed in the office near the upstairs bedroom. The location was great, with walkable breakfast, dinner, and gourmet grocery. The place was super clean and owner instructions were thorough and helpful without being restrictive. Plenty of nice linens, etc. Tahoe City area was much more to our liking than the southern end of the lake. The area seemed relaxed and quiet, although we were there in a less popular time of year—late for skiing but not yet spring. The owner responded promptly to all queries and was very helpful. Really enjoyed our relaxing time here.

Cute, quaint but with modern style

  • 5 of 5

If your looking for something for a family of 4 that has charm and personality then look no further. This A frame house has been decorated with style but still maintains its authenticity and quaintness. The house was clean and well maintained. The kitchen utensils were very adequate. And the location is great. Not far from Tahoe city and with a couple of restaurants nearby such as Sunnyside and Spoon.
