Hidden Treasure

This place is amazing. If you are looking for your own little slice of heaven for a getaway but to be close to many activities, this is it. The house has been nicely renovated. The highlight may have been the dozen deer that came out at night in the farm field. The beds are comfortable and the open floor plan is perfect for families. The food lion is 5 minutes away and we just stayed and ate here the entire time. We didn't want to leave. The owner is so nice. We would love to go back.

Mountain escape close to civilization

  • 5 of 5

The owners spared no expense on this mountain/farm retreat. The interior is immaculate and updated. Huge upstairs with open kitchen and the downstairs is huge and has its own living area as well. This was perfect for our two families. They had fresh pastries waiting for us upon arrival. Our boys loved playing in big fields, river and around the barn catching fireflies and light saber fighting in the dark. We saw wild turkeys and even caught a few small trout. Hot tub was awesome to sit in at night and back patio is HUGE. Was far enough from town to feel away from hustle and bustle yet close enough to drive to the local lion for coffee and doughnuts every morning and hit zip lining, blue ridge parkway and hiking spots. A must stay and a magical/peaceful experience. We hated to leave.

What a beautiful place! Came in late night during a snow storm so almost got lost (follow street signs to follow the road its on, not the GPS)! The house is so warm & inviting, super clean!!! I'm OCD & didn't even think to use my lysol I packed! The kitchen & bathrooms & wood are so amazingly beautiful! Even the carpets were super soft & plush! gorgeously decorated home with everything you need to cook in the kitchen! We will be back in the summer to enjoy the river & deck!

Beautifully decorated farm house

  • 5 of 5

Nice home on a beautiful, quiet working farm. The interior was recently remodeled with high end furniture, fixtures and appliances. Everything was new. My family (8+9 yr old) loved the house and being on the working farm. Close drive to Boone and the ski mountains. Highly recommend it.
