About this property

Magnetic Cottage is a beautiful quaint stone cottage situated right in the heart of Port Fairy. It is located in a prime position being 200m to all the restaurants, cafes and boutique shopping and only a short 7-minute stroll to the fabulous East Beach; just park up and leave the car. This historic cottage was built circa 1850s and has been renovated to a very high standard and offers all creature comforts for an enjoyable holiday. As you would expect for a newly renovated cottage all appliances and furnishings are new.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms with the master bedroom featuring a double showered ensuite. The second bedroom has a tri-bunk. For the teenager in you there is a cozy bungalow with a set of bunks. The main living and kitchen area feature rustic wooden flooring with an open plan living feel & cosy fireplace to enjoy. For those who like to cook the kitchen is fully equipped and there is a separate sitting room for those wishing to relax and read a good book.

Outside you'll find garden setting area for your family to enjoy a relaxing afternoon BBQ lunch while the children play on the large lawn area. And after getting back from the beach wash the sea salt off under the outdoor hot & cold shower!

Please note: You will need to supply your own firewood. This fireplace is a small unit & therefore requires small pieces only. Wood can be purchased from our local Road House.

Sweet cottage

This was such a sweet, clean well appointed cottage. Close to shops for morning coffee, beautiful light through the windows. Lovely linen and comfortable bed. I was so grateful that dogs are allowed - my small senior pet enjoyed his wander in the large grassy yard. Highly recommend this property. Hassle free booking and check in process.

Lovely cottage, handy location

We had a lovely stay, it's a beautiful cottage. Really enjoyed that we could walk to the cafes and shops. The fenced back yard was ideal for our dog too.

The perfect Port Fairy Cottage

Our group of four had a lovely stay here attending the Spring Music Festival. The location was brilliant, just a few steps from the shops. The house is very comfortable and roomier than it looks and has been sensitively extended.

Family reunion by the sea

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cottage and would love to return one day. The kitchen was well stocked with plates etc and the beds were comfy. A gorgeous spot with a wonderful history.
