Very nice waterfront home, very well equipped and spacious!

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our time here in Picton. Cottage is perfect location being a quick 1 min. Drive to the downtown core, great for evening ice cream at the local ice cream shops. Also town has all amenities/ stores available, which is of great convienance.

The cottage itself sits on a nice piece of property set back aways from the road which offered a lot of privacy. Cottage was one of the most equipped cottages we've ever been to.

Towels and bar of soap provided in each of the bedrooms + a bottle of local wine and appetizer pizza was a very nice touch!

The cottage is so spacious, with 5 adults and 1 child we never felt crammed together.

Ping pong in the barn was great to have!

Wifi and sat. Tv was great to have available, especially with a toddler for the very hot afternoons.

Fishing is great in Picton Bay, was nice to have Merland Park boat rentals just a few doors down.

Sandbanks Provincial Park was only 10-15 min away, which has a beautiful beach if you're looking for somewhere to swim, + many other things to do so close to the cottage.

Only reason I will not give 5 stars is

1. The dock; needs to be replaced, the concrete slabs are all broken. Made it a little bit more dangerous getting in and out of boat and harder for my toddler who wanted to fish.

2. Concrete around back of cottage is also lifting in some areas. While it is taped with yellow tape so you can see the high spots my toddler doesn't understand that and had a couple of trips and scraps on her knees.

Thank you Ian for having us!

We really felt at home. You have a beautiful place and if we're ever looking to come back up this way we would definatley love to stay here again!

Clean spacious lake house

  • 4 of 5

Great lake house very close to Picton town centre, easy access to all things to see and do in the area. Very spacious house, a bit dated but we didn't expect too much from a cottage rental. The backyard runs right to the lake, no beach/sand at the edge though my husband did a spot of fishing. My 2 year old daughter loved how open the house was, she spent much of her time running around from room to room!

Great property, pictures don't do the place justice!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend in Picton. Great time of year to be in the County as many of the vineyards are harvesting grapes. The home was pristine and fully equipped for all our needs. Lots of room to play inside and outside for our families with young children. Ian was incredibly responsive throughout the process and went out of his way to return a few items we accidentally left behind on departure. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be looking to book again in the future.

Clean, well equipped and centrally located

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for three nights in mid July 2016 with my two daughters, my cousin and his wife and myself. The home had every amenity that we desired and we were very satisfied with the accommodations. We had a lovely holiday and the computer nor the tv was ever turned on :-)
