Reunion at Tenkiller Lake, Petit Bay
There were 7 of us, returned Peace Corps volunteers that have a reunion every year. We were very happy with our accommodations, comfortable, spacious and lovely views. We rented a pontoon boat for an afternoon and enjoyed the lake and on another afternoon went down to petit bay, a 5 minute drive and stayed at a picnic table overlooking the lake to play games. Our hostess, Ruth Keeley, was very accommodating and helpful. She went out of her way to make our stay memorable.
Perfect place for a getaway!
Our son participated in the College Bass nationals tournament and we wanted to be comfortable while having access to the lake to share in the excitement of the tournament. House in the Hill was so spacious and we were really close to a boat ramp. The home had plenty of room to spread out when we were all there so that everyone could do their own thing, but then when it came time for all of us to eat together or watch television, there was enough room for us to be together as well. The home owner was really easy to reach and had lots of good ideas to share with us to make out stay/visit enjoyable!
Great Family Time!
The house is fantastic for hosting a large group that wants to hang out and get to know each other (again). The large kitchen/living area is perfect for all meals and just hanging around and chatting. We spent tons of time outside in the evenings by the fire pit cooking hot dogs, hamburgers and smores. The isolation on the hill keeps it personal but it is near enough to everything in the area to get wherever you need to go.
We've stayed in nicer homes but the layout was good for us. Adults upstairs and the kids/young adults downstairs. We boated and floated and could not have has a better time.
Comfortable & Cozy
We spent Easter Weekend at House on the Hill. It was a great time with family. The house was very comfortable. Beds were awesome! Great water pressure in the showers! Even though the house was great, we spent most of the time outside playing games, spending time by the fire, Easter Egg hunting, and hanging out at the lake. Thanks for being a great host, Ruth!
Felt like home away from home
This was a great space for our large family to hang out together without being in each other's space. There was something for everyone to do whether it was playing ping pong, watching a movie, playing board/card games or just catching up. The kitchen was stocked with everyhing we needed for our large group.
So, so, so glad you guys enjoyed your family time!!! Thanks again for staying with us. Hope your family enjoyed to rest of the holiday season! Happy New Year! Hope to see you guys again in 2018!
We loved our stay at the "House on the Hill". We immediately felt comfortable and at home. We had a large group and had plenty of room to hang out together or slip away for some quiet time. The view out the windows is fabulous.
