About Vacasa of the Coeur d'Alene Region
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

My family had a great time here; it was quiet and peaceful. It was nice to have a washer/dryer, especially after a day in the water. Dock was very nice and it was fun using the kayak. The stairs were tough for my kiddos and exhausting after a few trips back and forth to the vehicle.
The beach was great! The place was a great getaway for us.

Nice cabin - getting down to it was a pain!
The cabin is nice, and as described. We had a wonderful time sitting out on the deck looking at the water, and sitting in the dining room in the morning enjoying the view with mist on the water.
The only downside of this cabin is the access. I am glad to see that they have updated the description to include that there are 75 steps to get down to the cabin. That was not in the description when we booked it. For about half of the staircase there is a hand rail. For the remainder, it is rustic railroad ties with no hand rail. I would not want to bring small children, or anyone that is not in decent shape. We actually stumbled on the stakes holding the railroad ties, but were able to catch ourselves.
We ended up limiting our coming and going, not wanting to face the staircase more times than necessary.
Overall it is a nice place if you don’t mind hiking!
We rented the cabin for three nights but returned to Spokane after two. As noted in the information provided, the seventy steps were a hassle, but we were warned. The cabin's carpeting and furniture are old and worn. Actually the entire place showed neglect from peeling paint to dirt around the windows. Swimming is difficult because of plant growth in the bay. We felt that the cabin was overpriced and were quite disappointed.
We have used VRBO several times in the past and were pleased with the accommodations. Not so this time. We rented the cabin for three nights and returned to Spokane after two. The place appears as if it has had little or no updating since it was built--probably in the 1960's. The carpeting and furniture were worn and dirty. The oven didn't work the first night, so we broiled a pizza. The bedrooms are dark and do not have overhead lights. The paint and deck are worn. The view and dock are nice. Swimming is a problem because of the plant growth near the surface. We felt that, for the price, the cabin was rather dismal.
