This brand new two-bedroom, one-bathroom cottage sits on five acres located just fifteen minutes away from downtown Orlando and five minutes from SR 417. Gator Cove is perfect for a small family of 4 guests or 2 couples. You will be within walking distance of The Black Hammock. This quaint cottage comfortably sleeps four people and can be added as an extension of the Gator Mansion.

During your stay, take advantage of the included wi-fi internet and television and fully furnished living room, kitchen, and laundry rooms. Just a short walk from your front door we have live gator and bird exhibits and nature trails to explore. Stock up on food and beverages or use your discount at the Black Hammock Restaurant to try our delicious gator bites and other quality meals offered.

Take a tour around Lake Jesup and Historic Bird Island at Black Hammock Adventures and Airboat Rides within walking distance of your vacation home or feel free to use the boat ramp for an adventure of your own. The Lazy Gator Bar is open Monday – Thursday 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm, Friday and Saturday 11 am – 2am, and Sunday from 11 am – 11pm.

Peaceful and perfect

This little cottage is absolutely beautiful the details such as granite and the appliances , the backyard views it’s all amazing. The air conditioner works really well and that’s important in Florida of course but it’s on a dead end road and it’s just very peaceful with ample parking a very safe walk to the front door.. another thing the blackout blinds and drapes make the room so you can sleep at anytime of the day or night. It’s amazing I love this place I will stay again. We will stay again. Bowdie and Jenx

All was well until…

Staying by the lake in early February was very quiet. I don’t know if it would be as quiet in the height of summer. There is ample parking but it is shared with the larger house next door. There is also quite a long sidewalk to the front door if you are carrying things in. The main room has two comfortable couches and both bedrooms are a nice size with very comfortable beds. There are big closets but no dressers. The kitchen has full size appliances, but was lacking in some cooking items. There were no sheet pans or microwaveable cooking dishes. My problem came with the “starter supplies” which was in the listing. We had one garbage bag for the kitchen. I was told at 9 pm after we emptied the garbage that only “starter supplies” were stocked and they had no extras that could be brought to us. So, bring kitchen trash bags, dishwasher pods, paper towels, leftover containers, teaspoons (there are two) toilet paper (there were two rolls), hand soap and wash cloths (there was one). I was also disappointed that there wasn’t a view of the lake from the cottage, but the Black Hammock restaurant and bar is a short walk and has a lovely view from the back where you can watch the sunset.

Great place

This was just as described. Very clean and quiet surroundings. We were there for 3 weeks. The only thing I would suggest isa small or stick vacuum for cleaning. 3 weeks is long to go without the floors being vacuumed. A broom is not enough. Otherwise thank you so much for a beautiful vacation
