Frangipani, 4 Gloucester Street - Waterfront House on Dutchies Beach

Frangipani is in one of the prime locations of the Bay, nestled amongst trees and wildlife and only metres from popular Dutchmans Beach. This is a place to relax and unwind. With direct access to Dutchmans Beach, known to the locals as 'Dutchies', you can explore the calm bay beach boasting beautiful white sands as well as shady grassed areas with BBQ and picnic tables and a lovely children's play area. Just a 20-minute walk or cycle along the picturesque coastal pathway, or a 1km drive takes you past Bagnalls Beach reserve and into Nelson Bay CBD with its selection of boutique shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and the Marina. The waterfront offers a multitude of activities including boat and jet ski hire, dolphin and whale watch cruises, diving, kayaking, stand up paddle boarding and fishing charters.

Located on the lower hillside above Dutchman's Beach, this quaint, waterfront holiday house offers an open plan living area with floorboards, split system air-conditioning, 2 cosy lounges, WI FI a flat screen TV, DVD player, CD player and a 6-seater timber dining table, and the kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, oven, 2-burner stovetop, microwave and full size fridge/freezer. Both the kitchen and dining areas offer sliding glass door access to the large covered balcony with an outdoor table and seating where you can relax, unwind and absorb in the amazing 180-degree blue vistas across Port Stephens. A second alfresco entertaining area at the rear of the property offers a 3-burner gas BBQ and outdoor setting.

The main bedroom also has access to the covered balcony and offers a queen bed, mirrored built-in robe and beautiful water views to wake up to each morning. The second bedroom has a tri-bunk bed (double on bottom and single on top), wardrobe and a flat screen TV that is ideal for kids game consoles. The bathroom and laundry offers a shower over the bath and a toilet, as well as a washing machine and dryer.

Off-street parking is available for one vehicle.

Property location overlooking Duchies is great, a steep block ,steep access via steps. Parking unsatisfactory. Beds not made at this price a bit rich, offering early checkin and late checkout at a price is a bit rich. Dont offer if you charge. This is our firdt experience of this money grab in all our travels.

Make your own beds, buy your own loo paper and vacuum the sand up
Firstly, this property is a cute old beach shack located on a beautiful beach. It was a comfortable stay, however seemed a bit neglected in simple property management. Firstly, there was a laundry bag of sheets for the beds meaning that you had to make your own beds (from experience that is unusual and the cleaner should make the beds). There were sandy patches on the floors that we had to vacuum up. For a three night stay in a two bedroom accomodation there was only one roll of toilet paper so we had to buy our own! The tv remote batteries were flat. The lawns were overgrown but they got mowed on the second day of our stay. The dishwasher was really stinky! For the above reasons I think that perhaps the property hadn’t been stayed in for a while or they need to find a new cleaner/maintenance person. We had a nice stay, however with a bit more attention to detail it would have gotten a 5 star review! It just felt a bit neglected.
