Trailer very near Theodore Roosevelt National Park
We stayed here for 2 nights to go hiking in Teddy Roosevelt National Park. North Dakota became my 50th state to stay in and my wife only has 2 more to have all 50. The trailer was nice and clean. The heat was off when we arrived with the temperature in the high 30s. It did heat up once I could get the heat turned on. The kitchen was not well stocked with pots, pans and utensils. We are folks that cater-in and with there not being a grocery store in Medora we were prepared to cook-in. We got by with the 2 pans in the kitchen.
The site is very close to the National Park. That's the biggest plus to staying here. The site is really a trailer park for visiting folks with trailers and campers. There are 4 rental trailers on the site. The photos of the site were taken WITHOUT the 20 - 30 trailers and campers all over the place. There was a trailer 5 feet from our back door. No bother except when we arrived on Monday the Internet access was totally taken by the trailer residents trying to watch Monday night football. No bandwidth at all for us. Also their Direct TV subscription did not include ESPN or any of the sports channels or any of the news channels. When I contacted Brad, who was out of town, about that he told me that he contacted Direct TV and they fixed the problem. I rebooted the equipment many more times than a few. Not so much even for our 2nd night. Really no watchable TV for both nights we were there.
We had to drive back to our home in Florida over the next 3 days. Needing to leave early in the morning and having to wash the sheets and towels made our early departure an earlier morning. This is the only HomeAway/VRBO rental we have ever stayed in that has required us to wash the linens and towels. We did it.
The location is great, the images do not really show it honestly with all of the trailers and campers. We did have bunnies around our deck and enjoyed the seeing the deer around the home just down from us.
We would stay here again because being close to the National Park was very important to us.
I have given 3 stars because the images really do not honestly show the site as it is with all of the trailers and campers, the very sparse kitchen pots, pans and utensils, having to wash and dry the towels and linens before departing, no really watchable TV and poor Internet access. The cleanliness and the location are good.
Very quiet, out-of-the-way place, in an out-of-the-way place.
Very close to the Sully State Park trail head of the Maah Daah Hey Trail, if that's your gig. You can ride your bike to the trail head from the cabin. It's away from town, out in the ND countryside.; very scenic and very quiet. The cabin seems older, but well kept. The bed did not look comfortable at first glance, but both of us slept well on it. We had an enjoyable stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Boots Cabin! It was very conveniently located to all of the activities in Medora. We loved relaxing on the deck, enjoying the view and the sights and sounds of the birds and wildlife. The cabin is close enough to walk to the state park where we hiked along the Little Missouri River. We would definitely choose this rental again!
Clean with everything we needed!
We loved being so close to town, yet apart from the bustle of town. Beautiful scenery!
Nice simple quiet place
This is a very quaint quiet place just a tad outside of Medora. The units are in good shape and we will continue staying here for our annual Medora trips. It is much preferable compared to the mass housing units owned by the city.
Loved our visit to trnp..enjoyed our tiny home..
Tiny house was very clean..beautiful scenery..very peaceful and quiet..
