Really loved the big open spaces

  • 4 of 5

The large spaces were great for kids, we had 5, and 6 adults, plenty of room for everyone. We used the kitchen everyday for cooking meals, more than enough room and pots, pans, we were there for Thanksgiving, so we cooked a lot. The view of the lake is spectacular it was awesome to wake up to the sunrise everyday. The master bedroom is on the main floor, and all other bedrooms are on the bottom level. We used the pool table everyday, used the hot tub everyday too. We didn’t use the loft, but there’s a fold out couch to a bed if needed. Having a large garage we fit both vehicles in there was convenient. We used the gas fireplace everyday, it really warms the house nicely. Washer and dryer was great to have too. We really didn’t have to leave the house at all, if we didn’t want to. We went out and explored downtown Grand Lake, and Winter Park, we went tubing in Fraser, and went to the Winter Park ski resort too. Awesome place!

Million Dollar Home Provides Million Dollar Memories - Quintessential Cabin Experience

  • 5 of 5

Had a weekend getaway with some buddies. The house was so beautiful and accommodating we never wanted to leave. The view from the hot tub was worth every dime - especially at night with the stars above. The game room provided hours of entertainment. The fire-pit gave us a nice cozy place to tell stories. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. With a group of 10 everyone was able to sleep in a bed and comfortably shower and everything else. The 2 kitchens were really nice for preparing meals during the day and having a place to lounge and drink cocktails in the evening. The deck was spacious and provided amazing views all around. Loved having the grill and extra fire pit heater there as well. Everything worked (appliances, TV, cable, internet, grill) and all instructions for check in and check out were clear and reasonable. Overall great home - even better owner. Would rent again in a heartbeat.

Truly million dollar view

Beautiful home with all the amenities and the most incredible view of Shadow Mountain Lake. This place was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and proximity to the lake and boat launch.

  • 5 of 5

Great hot tub on deck with killer views of grand and shadow mountain lakes. Bald Eagles spotted, humming birds came to deck.

Family of 12 fit comfortably. Tornado foosball table was a big hit for us!

RMNP about 15 minutes drive north of property.

Our Favorite So Far!

  • 5 of 5

Our family (14 to 16 of us) utilize VRBO every year. This year, 2017, has been our favorite home to date!!

There is plenty of space for all of us, the layout was great for having teenagers with us. Once we were done with one of our many daily activities the kids could hang out in the game room downstairs and the adults had the living room.

There were numerous activities very close by, that included hiking, boat rental, whitewater rafting, spending the day at Winter Park Village and touring the town of Grand Lake. I think our favorite though was hanging out on the deck and soaking in the view of Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake. Oh, and the bull moose we saw on the last day was pretty awesome! He came strolling right by the house.

The house is very well maintained, very well stocked with appliances and utensils for the kitchen and with a group our size having the extra kitchen downstairs was perfect.

Ken and his wife were awesome, they actually stopped by to make sure that the house was cleaned properly and to see if we needed anything. Ken checked in with me several times to see how we were doing and made several sight seeing / restaurant recommendations.

If you're into hiking, Adams Falls is a must, we went twice but go early in the morning if you want to avoid the crowds. It is a very easy, short hike, so it draws big crowds.

We will be back for sure.

Great views!!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is a great place to stay in the Grand Lake area. My family and I found it a great home base for our area adventures. We rented a pontoon from the marina less than a mile down the road - they were great to work with (the one with Trail at the beginning of their name). We had a varied group in age from a 15 month old to 70 year old and this house was great for everyone. Loved the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The hot tub and entertainment options were great. Also appreciated the large garbage in the kitchen!! I would say the only downside was the beds downstairs were a little on the hard side all around but nothing we couldn't deal with.

Thank you Ken for making this available.

October is flying by and it's time to think of Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays.Book now while there is still some availability. Once we're into the new year start thinking about ski, snowmobile and/or ice fishing weekends.Prices are typically lower and crowds smaller then summer months. Why settle for a dingy motel when for about the same cost/person you can have a mountain chateau with game room, fireplaces and hot tub.
