About the home

“Penguins by the Beach” is a lovely townhouse in a brilliant location in central Cowes, across the road from the beach and easily walkable to the many supermarkets, cafes and restaurants Cowes has to offer. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below.

Indoor Areas

The first floor comprises an open plan kitchen / dining / living area (with TV) opening to a balcony. Two bedrooms and a bathroom (with shower and toilet) complete this floor.

The ground floor contains another living area (with TV & Blu-Ray player), a bedroom and a bathroom (with shower over bath and toilet), and internal access to the garage. The European laundry is in the hallway.

Outdoor Areas

The home has both a balcony from the first floor as well as an enclosed rear courtyard. There is room for two cars in the double lock-up garage. Also at your disposal are the wonderful communal facilities including a solar-heated in-ground pool and shady BBQ area for those delightful summer afternoons, plus some communal parking spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

The home contains two reverse-cycle, split system units one in the upstairs living room, and the other downstairs in the entrance. There is also a standalone fan for use where required.

Bedding Configuration

This home has 5 beds plus 1 foldout divan, accommodating up to 9 guests:

Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): 1 x Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Upstairs): 1 x Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Upstairs): 1 x Single bunk and 1 x Single bed

There is also a fold out double divan in downstairs living room that suitable for two adults or children.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.

My family and I enjoyed every moment of our stay and everything we need near us the shopping centre the beach and the property itself is cleaned and organised and big space for our family. I’m 100% recommended We will definitely come back again. My children love it and they enjoy the swimming pool and exploring cows area by foot and of course the beach was their favourite. We pleased with everything ❤️

Property was well presented. Layout of bedrooms and kitchen and lounge was perfect for our group of 8. Pool and BBQ area excellent. Close to main shopping area and beach . Would definitely recommend.
