Sweet Cottage

  • 4 of 5

We enjoyed our stay at the charming cottage in the rolling hills near Emigrant Lake. It was quiet and peaceful. We had a couple of lunches on the shaded deck under the oak tree. It was a perfect location for the sculling clinic we were attending at the lake.

The owners made me and my children feel very welcome.

The property was clean and well kept. It was in a private quiet neighborhood which was just what we were looking for. It was also close to restraunts and shopping. There was a big yard for my kids and parks/kids activities near by. It was a great place to spend the Christmas holidays!

My wife and I stayed here for two days. One was our anniversary:)

What a beautiful place. Quite, oak forest, and lots of nature. A bird lovers paradise! The lake nearby down a little trail. No more crappy hotels in town, we'll be back:)

Thanx again

It's a lovely place, with peaceful wild countryside. Close to town, away from tourists. Delightful.

The bed was so cozy and the relaxed atmosphere a joy. Jim was so helpful and understanding when we had to leave early due to a family emergency.

Beautiful setting

  • 4 of 5

The setting is beautiful- peaceful and very quiet. The house itself is bigger then it appears in the photos and comfortably accommodated my friends and I. I slept on the futon which was a little challenging to pull out but very comfortable. There is no stove which were not aware of but we made it work (could have been mentioned in the summary but I didn't remember reading about it). The only reason we didn't give it a 5 star rating is that the bathroom needed a bit more of deep cleaning otherwise everything was as we expected and we would recommend it.
