Best VRBO I've ever stayed in

  • 5 of 5

My family has stayed in a number of VRBO rentals over the last couple of years and this is by far the best. Others were very nice, but the hosts at Circa 1885 go above and beyond to make sure their home is comfortable and welcoming. The location can't be beat, and the apartment is extremely well set up with comfortable, high quality furniture and decor. It looks great in the photos, but it's even nicer in person. The many thoughtful extras (toiletries, snacks, even a bottle of wine) made us feel welcome and cared for. We also appreciated the excellent communication before and during our visit. Lisa made sure we had all the information we needed for our stay and responded quickly to any inquires.

We really enjoyed our stay in Annapolis and thank Lisa and John for helping to make it great!

The location couldn’t get any better. Restaurants and coffe shops within a 10 minute walk. The host John and Lisa went above and beyond to make you feel at home. Their attention to detail is second to none!!

The best place to stay in Annapolis!

  • 5 of 5

We had an awesome experience with the owners. They were more than willing to help out with details such as; late check out time, grocery delivery questions, wheelchair storage etc. . . . The place is clean and very comfortable. It is adorable! The location to say the least was perfect (especially if you have a midshipman). We thoroughly enjoyed staying there and would love to stay there again! I felt very "at home' here! Thank you again!

Great location and great hosts

  • 5 of 5

We were greeted with a lovely homemade pumpkin bread after a long day of travel. The home was lovely and there was nothing we needed or were left wanting. Such a great location. My son was attending the USNA baseball camp and we couldn’t have asked for easier access.

We were impacted by the rains more than expected so we stayed in the house more than we normally would so it was great that it had everything we needed! A simple rain coat and willingness to be wet, a lot, still had us exploring the town. We walked a lot and explored the other side of Annapolis that we hadn’t been to on prior trips.

Iron Rooster didn’t disappoint with their homemade rooster tarts (pop tarts). The Cheese Shop is a must visit for amazing sandwiches or fixings for a picnic.

One recommendation, for the town not the house, if you feel you need to rent a cautious parking on King George. It is very narrow once cars are on both sides and can be a challenge..

Owner's Response: Thank you for staying with us during your son's baseball camp at USNA, Nicki. So glad the location & accommodations were comfortable with camp, and site seeing downtown. We wished the weather and King George parking would have been more favorable, though. Please come back and see us, we hope you join us again as Mario advances in baseball! :)

Everything in one place!

  • 5 of 5

I will never book a hotel room in Annapolis again after staying here. Lisa and John were excellent and communicative hosts. Every ammentity we needed was accommodated and the home is comfortable and gave us room to spread out a bit. We cooked in the well-appointed kitchen and appreciated the little treats left for us by Lisa and John. The location cannot be beat; we awoke after a great night’s sleep to the naval band across the street and wandered just a couple of blocks to check out the warf and shops in town. Our business in town was a lacrosse tournament and we were thankful to have use of your large umbrellas to protect us from the blistering sun and the cool packs in the freezer to use in our cooler. Like I said before, everything we could ask for in a home away. We will be back next summer!
