Why Steve & Cuc Dingle chose Sugarbush Mountain

A very unique Vermont home with great western view of Sugarbush ski resort.

Abundant wild life in the area and beautiful Fall Foliage from surrounding maple trees.

A nice walk down to Folsom Brook for your relaxation and enjoy the surrounding nature with the sound of a babbling brook.

What makes this chateau / country house unique

Sitting on the rock steps garden with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening and listening to both Vermont Hermit Thrush & white throated sparrow is my favorite time to relax.

Wandering down to the brook or sitting under the deck on a hot summer day with a book is my retreat.

In winter, I love watching skiers (with binoculars) skiing down Stein run and at night seeing the CAT grooming the mountain promises a great ski day in the morning.

Autumn is my favorite season, the foliage is so magnificent that you do not need to drive except to sit on the deck and enjoy the beauty of autumn foliage.

Migration of Canada Geese in Spring & Fall, their fly path is over our property.

A great home with everything needed for a great stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is secluded a the bottom of the driveway, protecting it from road noise and giving the feel of being alone in the mountains. The view is amazing and the floor plan is wide open, allowing for a communal feel during the stay.

The house was clean when we got there. The beds were comfy and the shower is great. I would certainly consider staying here again.

Perfect Vermont Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect! It was very clean and had all the amenities our family of 5 needs for a vacation getaway! The kitchen was full for us to cook daily. The weather was quite nasty while we were in town but the house was equipped with a nice TV and plenty of reading material for us to relax. The wood stove in the living room added to the coziness, as well! Overall, I would highly recommend this house and would absolutely stay here again in the future.

Great house for ski weekend at Sugarbush. Clean, and plenty of room

  • 5 of 5

Had a great time staying here. Easy drive to the mountains, only 5 minutes into Warren for dining, groceries, etc.

Loved the radiant floors, made drying out ski stuff very easy. Definitely would recommend to friends and family looking for a place to stay in the Mad River Valley.

Huge home, incredibly private and beautiful property

  • 4 of 5

The house was such a treat to stay in. From the moment we walked into the mudroom, we felt so at home and comfortable. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and clean. The view through the double French doors off of the kitchen and through the wall of windows in the living room were absolutely breathtaking, and the little hiking trail down to the brook was such a refreshing way to start off the mornings. We all loved the rain shower downstairs, the Nest, the central vaccum, and the little rock garden outside. We ended up cooking dinner and staying in two of the three nights we were in VT because the kitchen was roomy enough for our entire family to cook together. The reason the property is only getting 4 stars is because there was some sort of ladybug nest in the corner of the dining room (which has ceilings that are 2 stories high), and the ladybugs kept dive bombing onto the dining table throughout our stay. There was also a wasp nest right outside the sliding door to the living room, so we weren't able to enjoy the deck. Other than those two very minor issues (or more major for people like my sister), the house was perfect. Thank you so much for opening your home to us for our stay in VT!

Owner's Response: Dear Melissa, I am so sorry about the Wasp problem. If we knew about it, I would have called the exterminator to come by and take care of the issue. We came back to Vermont in early November and had taken care of the Wasp Issue with the exterminator spraying & knocking off the nest. The lady bugs colony was also removed.

Great place with amazing views and privacy.

  • 4 of 5

The house is bigger than it seems from photos and has a great kitchen set up for entertaining. There's tons of natural light coming through and a great deck to hang out on. The weather wasn't all that chilly yet, but they do have radiant heat floors throughout which should make it cozy in the winter.

I wish they had done something differently in the room with the two bunk beds, maybe had the bottom one as a full or trundle beds . We had 6 adults, sleeping arrangements were not great for the one that ended up in a twin bunk bed and one on a hard futon in the living room. Maybe a pullout would be more comfortable for sleeping and sitting . I also wish there were some throw rugs and curtains to warm the house up and dampen the sound, you can hear every noise. But those aren't deal breakers by any means. With that being said, I would definitely rent here again . Its meticulously maintained and its close to a number of towns and the state capitol. You can find plenty of good restaurants in Montpelier and Norfolk which are 35 mins and 25 min away.

Quiet Retreat

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four, including two teenage daughters, spent a relaxing week at this wonderful home. We enjoyed exploring in the brook and relaxing on the deck. We were lucky enough to be staying there during the peak of the Perseid Meteor shower and had a clear view from the deck. The owners were very quick to respond to my initial inquiries about the property and checked in, by text message, to ask if everything was okay once we arrived. The property is located a short drive from the town center.
