A Wonderful Holiday
An Absolute wonderful experience. We wanted a family getaway that we would not have everyday distractions and that is what we got.
A rustic retreat that reminded me of how holidays should be. The cabin is older but cozy.
A bit suprised at how large it was but still had the cozy feel to it. We did a little bit of hiking, wandered around by the lake and a fire every night either on the outside fire pit or in the fireplace.
We read reviews before we booked but take the advice Jilliana gives that it is rustic. She was a great hostess and even warned us since usually guest were not there that time of year the road was a bit less level than normal. It was not hard for us but I appreciated she let me know in advance.
I slept in the room with all the windows. It was great to wake up see the lake and then take a walk to the other side sit on a porch and look at the woods.
If you really want a great wooded retreat please stay here and enjoy as we did just ask Jillianna if you have questions about her description she is very honest and will help in any way.
I hope to return at some time. Hopefully one summer where we can really enjoy the lake and not just the amazing view.
WOW! Thank you so so much for all of your nice thoughts, I am so happy you love it as much as I do here.
We enjoyed our stay
The walk down to the lake and dock was only about 5 minutes (if that) and it was a nice dock. The house was cute with a comfy bed and a huge fire pit. The shower was pretty neat because it had all kinds of different tiles and miscellaneous things. Very unique and a piece of art in itself. We used the charcoal grill just about every night as well. Every time we went out to town and back, we seen plenty of wildlife! We really enjoyed the place!
18th Birthday Present in “ Intense Nature”
Stayed at Jilliana’s Ky cabin for 5 nights with my brother and his 3 teenage kids. My 18 year old niece chose this vacation for her birthday present.
The cabin is lovely and homey. Everything works well. We had a couple of rainy days spent indoors very happily using the excellent WiFi. Even a 20 hour power outage ( due to high winds and weather) didn’t affect our love affair with this little slice of KY paradise. We saw eagles, snakes, groundhogs, ’possums and millions of lightning bugs every evening. There were fish jumping around the dock. Sunrise and sunset were spectacular every day.
We arrived late to check in, 11pm. Jillianna came up in her golf cart to welcome us. After that, all requests to her for any help were seen to promptly, WiFi password, water to flush loo during power outage. I mentioned my brother had gotten some mosquito bites so she brought some itch cream along w all manner of helpful things, paper plates, fire lighter, detergent etc. We really felt welcome and looked after. My nieces and nephew loved the “intense nature” with WiFi. We all look forward to returning. Thank you Jillianna!
A lovely stay
Host was gracious and helpful. Very nice cabin. Disappointed that it wasn’t the White House on the lake as all the pictures showed but overall a great stay
Hey, you should come back and book the white house I am sure you would enjoy that also.
My family had a great weekend!! We will be back! Surrounded by woods, house was up the hill from the lake, it was exactly what we were looking for.
This house is deep in the woods and sets on top of a hill on KY Lake, the dock to the house is a 3 min. walk down the hill on a gravel road. The view in the summer is now a cleared view of the lake, you see if forever and ever. In the fall you see the wide expanse of the lake.
