Hale Laki is a remodeled 1 Bedroom 1 Bath with A/C & free WIFI

Hale Laki is a deluxe, recently remodeled 1 Bedroom 1 Bath condo with AIR CONDITIONING in the ocean front complex of Alii Villas. It features all new flooring, light fixtures, ceiling fans, A/C, cabinets, sinks, appliances, counter tops, & furniture. Situated on the 2nd floor (middle level) it has a fabulous view of tropical gardens from the lanai with a peek at the ocean. Unlike some of the other units on the Kona Coast that bake in the sun, cool breezes drift through the palm leaves and keep this unit nice and comfortable. Hale Laki has one of the prettiest views in the complex.

The bedroom has a new queen size bed and there is also a new queen sofa sleeper in the living room. A Pack-n-Play is available for use by an infant or small child. There is a washer and dryer in the unit so you can pack lightly if you choose. The kitchen is fully equipped. You'll be able to have a true Hawaiian experience of cooking and eating local fresh fish, fruit, and vegetables, many of which can be purchased at the nearby Farmers Market.

Alii Villas is a well maintained, popular, ocean front complex located on Alii Drive just south of Kona. It's conveniently located within walking distance of town where there are plenty of shopping and dining opportunities, yet removed just enough from the crowds and commotion to allow for a peaceful vacation. There is a beautiful view of the ocean from the sparkling clean swimming pool. The BBQ deck has several gas grills and patio dining tables for your use and a spectacular view of the ocean and sunsets.

La'Aloa Beach Park (aka Magic Sands) is a 10 minute walk to the south. Kona Village is about a 10 minute walk to the north. The Kona Country Club Golf Course with 36 championship holes is approximately a 10 minute drive from Hale Laki.

About Elizabeth Bensch

My husband, Paul, and I live in Michigan. We are both artists and were fortunate to meet in a ceramics class. We dated for a few years before marrying in 2005. We first came to Hawaii on our Honeymoon and knew we would be returning often. We've visited several areas in the state of Hawaii but like the Kailua-Kona area of the Big Island the best.

Why Elizabeth Bensch chose Kona Coast

We fell in love with the Kona Coast and have returned many times. We decided to purchase a condo in Hawaii and toured many different complexes before making a decision. We discovered that they are all very different. We found Alii Villas in 2014 and were very impressed with the location right on the ocean, the gardens, the pool, and the people. It has very lush gardens with lots of flowers in bloom including plumeria and bird of paradise. The grounds and the pool are kept very clean. So we decided to purchase a unit in the complex.

What makes this condo unique

We renovated the entire unit in the summer of 2015. Everything was replaced from the floor to the furniture to the kitchen and bathroom cabinets and fixtures. Air conditioning was added even though it is not usually needed.

Everything is close to this complex. You are just minutes from beaches, shopping, golfing, and wonderful restaurants and cafes. You can walk to many of these and, if you rent a car, you can explore the entire island including Volcano National Park, the Kohala Coast, the rain forest near Hilo, and the black sand beaches of South Point.

This was the best hotel/condo we could have had for the price. Clean, quiet, good location, stocked with everything we needed. Highly recommend. I don't see a place to give star rating so here it is...5 stars.

Awesome Place!!

I had a very nice stay at this condo. Almost did not book due to some reviews that mentioned some noise but have to say it was never an issue for us at all. Nice location near the downtown area. Great complex with beautiful landscaping. This is a 2nd floor unit. I never stay on the first floor in Hawaii as that's where the bugs are. Tastefully decorated and it had everything I needed. Really clean, too. We enjoyed the lanai and it was perfect for having cocktails in the evenings and reflecting on our day. Loved that I could cook at home and save lots of money. Since I like to exercise every day, I appreciated the pool and Alii Drive was a perfect place to run each morning along the waters edge. Will definitely be back.

Great property on Ali'i Drive

This is a great remodeled unit in a great location. The unit has everything you'll need for your stay on the island of Hawai'i, including a great lanai. The A/C in the bedroom is handy if you like it cooler when you sleep. I thought the fan was enough. The complex is right on the water, and while there is no sandy beach, the views of the sunset are incredible. Some of the best on the island in my opinion. The complex has a nice pool and a great BBQ area. You can walk to the shops and restaurants in Kailua-Kona so there is no worry about having too much fun and then driving back. Communication with the owner was very timely and informative. Can't go wrong here!

My husband and I stayed here for eleven days and found it to be wonderful. The condo has been remodelled successfully with a great kitchen, tiled floors and looks fresh and clean. There is some noise at night being close to Ali'i Drive, but it didn't stop us from sleeping. There is air conditioning in the bedroom, plus a fan, and fans in the living room and on the lanai, so we kept cool. The lanai, although smaller, was big enough for us and two of our friends. It is surrounded by greenery and looks out onto the garden. It is very peaceful after a day of sightseeing. Although there aren't too many BBQs in the complex my husband didn't have any trouble finding one to use. The pool area is pleasant with lots of loungers and a small exchange library. We would have preferred two T.V.s instead of one, as we have different viewing preferences. The condo is within walking distance of Kailua-Kona. Any queries we had were answered speedily and graciously by the condo owner. We would not hesitate to come again.

GREAT VALUE!

A lot of value for the money! This is a pristine condo in well-kept condominium complex was cheaper than a hum drum hotel. We enjoyed eating breakfast "at home" most days which allowed us to save money which we then could spend on other things. The residents and the staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for advice re best snorkeling beaches and off the beaten path hiking areas. I can't think of one negative thing to warn people about. We plan to return to Hawaii again someday and will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Perfect!

I'm so glad we chose to stay here! It was super clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and well appointed. It's close to everything we came to Hawaii to see and do. The tropical decor is very fresh and appealing. The complex has a nice pool and beautiful, rocky shoreline. There is a market just down the road and also a coffee shack next door that has the best coffee I've ever had in my life. We recommend this condo to anyone who wants a convenient, clean, care free vacation in Kona. We will definitely be back!
