This classy, quiet 1 bedroom, 1 bath cabin with a sleeping loft is nestled in the woods, however a short walk down to Shark Reef Sanctuary offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world. The cabin sleeps 4 comfortably but can accommodate up to 5 or 6 if you don't mind being extra close and paying an extra charge. The sleeping loft is under 5 ft high, so keep that in mind. Deer, rabbits and eagles live on the property. It has a full kitchen with a gas range, a small yard and deck and a private hot tub. The cabin is 1 mile from the golf course, and Shark Reef Park. Lopez island is a favorite for bike riders, beachcombers and kayakers. Enjoy amazing hikes, the Saturday Farmers Market and the Take it or Leave free store. The cabin has Wifi capabilities and DVD players but does not have cable or satellite TV. Movies can be rented in the village or there is a small collection at the cabin. There is not a washer or dryer, however there is a laundry mat outside of the village. Pets are welcome if you agree to the rules on the pet addendum. Please download it, read it and forward back to us. If you find any problems with the cabin please let us know right away so we can address it immediately.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy the Island
Wonderful place to stay and relax. This cute compfy place was just perfect! We stayed during Thanksgiving and cooked our entire thanksgiving feast in the kitchen. We used the hot tub quit a bit and enjoyed the sound of rain and watching the trees sway. There was enough room in the cabin and WiFi worked great to stream some football. Couldn’t of asked for a better time and place. Thank you Darlene and Brandon
It's nice to hear how enjoyable our cabin can be in the fall and winter months. I also love the sound of rain on the roof.
We are so happy you had a good Thanksgiving in our little cabin.
What a wonderful quaint cabin! Our party had two adult couples and a large Weimaraner (age 11, so very calm). We loved the fact that there was a hot tub, but with so much to do in the San Juan Island, we only used it for about 30 minutes on the very last day! There's no cell service, BUT it's Lopez Island! You come here to escape, not be connected. The internet service was fast and reliable so download a calling app if that's a need. Texting is more than adequate these days...
We found the sleeping accommodations more than satisfactory. The back bedroom seems small, due to having a huge bed so the sacrifice is welcome. The loft upstarts does have a low ceiling, however it's set up for a playspace with a TV, games, toys, etc... There's a futon mattress and a trundle bed so adults are comfortable, just bent over. We thought it was neat as the loft overlooks the living area. Older adults may find it difficult.
The Bathroom: this seemed like a bathroom anywhere else. Apparently this is the one room no one ever wants to compromise on! I wouldn't want to see two people getting ready at once, but it could be done.
The Kitchen: this was our only frown point. It's definitely a one person kitchen. With dining options on the island being very limited we expected to cook more than normal. With so many wonderful local grocery stores selling local produce, we were excited to cook! We made it work by giving each person one night to cook their favorite specialty for the group. The kitchen is stocked with just about everything you could need. The only thing I would beg for is a larger coffee machine, the single cup brewer did work for us as we all woke up when we wanted, but it's nice to always have a pot of coffee available. To be honest, we chose the area for whale watching, which means it's during that time of year with not so wonderful weather... Had we visited during the not so rainy months we would have made use of the grill, outdoor fire ring, etc... Making the kitchen less of an issue.
All in all this place is a solid 9.5! We loved our time here, we reconnected with friends, laughed, shared, learned a little about ourselves, and LIVED!
Thank you John. After reading your review, I will certainly be getting a full capacity coffee pot! Hope you make us a yearly visit.
This is a dressed up (outside) Mobile home
If you have allergies, not good! Also asking way too much money per night. Owner should leave instruction for DVD.
I am so sorry Liz was not happy with our cabin. She texted me several times with questions before they arrived and was disappointed to find out that the cabin did not have cable TV. It clearly states in our listing that we only provide a DVD player.
After receiving several more texts the first evening about how to use the DVD player, I said I would come by to show them. I pulled into the driveway at 8:30 pm and she texted that they we already in bed.
The next day she texted to say that they had explored the whole island, her allergies were really bad and they were leaving.
The only problem I was aware of was that she couldn't figure out how to use the DVD player.
Yes, our cabin is a "park model" mobile home and it is very clean, cozy and classy.
Cute and efficient little cabin in the woods
This cabin was a little smaller than I expected but it was comfortable for my 2 girls, my husband and me. Earlier reviews mentioned issues with the hot water. It was quite toasty for us and we were able to take nice relaxing showers. The loft ceiling was indeed too low for anyone over 4 feet tall to stand but we made it work. It was fine for sitting on the floor, playing cards...cabin stuff. :) All in all I'd rank it as a good value, comfortable and appointed with the necessities needed for a couple of days in the woods.
The cabin and jacuzzi was wonderful!
It was as real treat to soak in the jacuzzi and cook on a gas stove. The location was within easy walking distance to Shark Reef Sanctuary where one can view the lazy sea lions. When we had a minor technology hic-up, the owner was very responsive to our text msg.
Not what we expected.
This listing is a trailer in the woods. When my husband and I arrived and walked through it, we immediately tried to find other accommodations on the island. We were unsuccessful due to the busy summer season. Not wanting to cut our long-planned vacation short, we stayed for the full 4 nights we had booked. We knew it would be small, but it was even smaller than the photos make it seem and is in serious need of TLC. The bedroom was so tiny we had to move the bed against the wall to fit a small, traveling crib for our infant daughter. The floors are warped and buckle slightly in the hallway when walked on. There were cobwebs in the kitchen and living room. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a wasps nest outside. Additionally, the whole house smelled of mold.
We did not try out the hot tub as we tried to spend as little time during the day there as possible and at night there were too many mosquitos. I cannot recommend staying here.
This review is a gross misrepresentation of our cabin. As you can see we have consistantly have 4 and 5 star reviews.
It clearly states the square footage on the VRBO website. This reviewer never consulted us about room for a crib.
Our cedar cabin smells a lot like cedar and is impeccably maintained. It is professionally cleaned after each guests stay.
There is a bubble in the laminate flooring and at times you can feel it. It has never been an issue. The floors are not buckling.
In moving furniture around this reviewer broke the bed and we were kind enough not to charge them for it.
I was told by my housekeeper that she had rarely seen guests leave a vacation rental in such poor shape.
Its too bad they didn't try the hot tub, its amazing! It's surrounded by trees with stars up above. It sounds like some relaxation would have good for this reviewer.
This cabin is on the west side of Lopez Island close to Shark Reef Sanctuary which offers amazing views of the straits, Cattle Point lighthouse on San Juan Island, and abundant sea life. The golf course is also near the cabin.
Lopez Village offers: Boutique shopping, thrift shopping, gift shopping, Lopez Vineyard wine tasting or San Juan Islands ice cream tasting, skateboarding or bike riding, paddle boarding or kayaking, and many other activities.
Lopez also offers great hiking, beach-combing, fishing and crabbing. There are many wonderful restaurants on Lopez as well as the Saturday market where you can purchase fresh island grown veggies or have a delicious lunch.
Once you have been to Lopez Island you will always come back.
