About Tami Morton
Johnny and Tami Morton purchased this little paradise in 2010 to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Both involved in multiple business ventures, it was a gift to come home in the evening and unwind in this beautiful serene setting. It was like being miles from nowhere yet close if necessary. We love the cabin so much we decided to share it with others. We live very close and take much pride in ownership. We hope you love it and care for it the same as we do.

Why Tami Morton chose Marthasville
Rebecca Lane is in the middle of nowhere, but actually close to everything. St. Louis is 45 minutes, Washington is 10 minutes, and downtown Marthasville which has practically everything you would need in 3 minutes. Why not this property????
What makes this Cabin unique
Only log cabin of its kind in this area. Built from 10" logs. Large and spacious, lake front, woods to wander in, firepit to have open fires for roasting hotdogs, smores and more, berries to pick, fish to feed, deer, fox, raccoons, herons, skunks, turtles, muskrats, hummingbirds and wild birds too numerous to name. A real outdoor paradise for nature lovers. IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: The cabin has alot of taxidermy animals. WE DID NOT KILL ANY OF THESE. They were victims of traffic accidents, purchased at auctions, or donated to us by conservationists. We thought this would be a great way for adults and children alike to see wildlife up close without ever feeling the need to harm a live animal. They are also unable to grow new hair so we ask that you do not handle or pet. If taxidermy animals bother you, the cabin is probably not a good fit. Thank you.

Something for everyone
Our three generations look forward to our time spent at the cabin. Some lounge around, some take walks, some ride the paddle boats. Cooking is a pleasure in the well stocked kitchen and we gather at the large table for meals and games. The cabin and property are well maintained. The beds and furniture are comfortable. It's fun to explore the local wineries and downtown Washington, nearby. Tami is great to deal with.
These guests are definitely our favorites and we look forward to their annual visit. They are kind considerate people that treat our property as their own. Awesome guests. We look forward to seeing them next year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The cabin was large, well appointed and in a lovely, peaceful location.

Enjoyed a very relaxing extended weekend with a group of friends. The cabin was well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals, plenty of blankets, comfortable beds and couches.
9 adults were are able to stay under one roof. Water pressure was just fine in the morning with showers and breakfast preparation plus we never ran out of hot water.

Beautiful escape for a weekend getaway
We escaped to this wonderful cabin for a long weekend and it was perfect. There was plenty of space inside the cabin and it was stocked with almost anything you would need. My 8 year old niece absolutely loved feeding the fish in the pond everyday. Town was only a mile away which made it convenient to run in for necessities. We decided to visit some wineries in the area and they were all in close proximity to the property. The owners were great at responding to issues we had when we were there and tried to remedy the situation. It is a great getaway and we will hopefully be back in the future!
Thank you for the awesome review. The best part of the review is that you will hopefully be back. We are starting to get regulars and they have definitely made us happy to share something so awesome. Thank you for being such great guests and we look forward to seeing you again. Have a great day.
We had a fabulous weekend!
The cabin was very beautiful, peaceful, quiet, just what we all wanted for the weekend. The bedrooms were all very nice & the beds were comfortable. If you stay on the top floor, be prepared for a steep climb. Luckily, there are handrails on both sides of the stairs, which really helped. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that we needed for cooking our meals. We enjoyed feeding the fish with the food that the owners left on the deck. There are 2 hummingbird feeders out there & we saw quite a few hummingbirds over the weekend. The only things that were wrong with the weekend weren't that big of a deal. It was pretty hot inside the cabin when we got there. It would have been nice if someone had turned on the AC an hour or two before check-in to start cooling it down. It took a long time to cool down because the AC unit outside was filthy, but, my husband got the hose & washed it down & it started cooling down a lot faster after that. There was only the john boat out of the 3 boats that were advertised (no paddle boat or canoe) & the only oar that we found had the paddle end of it broken in half. But, it worked well enough for us! So, all in all, we had a wonderful stay & would definitely go back again.
Thank you sooo much for the 5 star review even though I did not feel we deserved it this time. We have a new groundskeeper and he blows the grass and dust directly into the a/c. Also, we normally do have the cabin warm/cool prior to guests arrival. Again, we dropped the ball. As for the boats, the paddle boat, a new kayak and new paddles are/were all there, just not put out by our staff prior to your arrival. Again, our mistake. If you do decide to come back, please remind me and I will definitely discount your stay by 15% instead of the normal 10% for our returning guests. Thank you again for your awesome review. We sincerely hope to wow you the next time. Have a great day.
Very quaint cabin.
Great place to stay. Love the lake and so did the dogs.
Thank you for the review. We hope you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again sometime.
