Cozy 2 BR modern log cabin with rustic style, great place to start a Winery Tour
About Cheryl Santos
My husband Jim and I moved to Cayuga Lake in 2002 - he from Pine City NY and me from Hawaii. We both are naturally drawn to water, so Cayuga Lake was our chosen place. My husband has 3 grown children and he retired in 2012. Now our children are of the four-legged sort (we have friendly tale-wagging dogs and we invite you to bring your dogs along). We live directly across the street from the cabin and we are always available if you need anything. We take great pride in providing a clean, comfortable vacation property, and it is important to us that you have a wonderful vacation experience. We want to ensure that you’ll make memories here that will stay with you for a lifetime.
Cheryl Santos purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Cheryl Santos chose Romulus
We chose Cayuga Lake for its natural beauty, the variety of things to see and do in close proximity, yet also the tranquility of country living. We envisioned building a cabin here so we could share this unique area with others, providing a comfortable retreat for our guests. We designed and built the cabin as a contemporary modern space yet with rustic charm.
What makes this Cabin unique
Situated in a sunny field adjoining the woods, this log cabin is a tranquil retreat. It is very spacious for 2 – 6 people with an open floor plan, cathedral ceilings, and 2 private bedrooms. It is impeccably clean and is well equipped with most necessary items. A walking trail across the street gives you access to Cayuga Lake. The cabin is centrally located on the Cayuga Wine Trail. Nearby are hiking trails, biking paths, and quaint shops. The cabin rental costs less per person than many hotels, plus you have your own private space. The radiant floor heating warms the cabin to a cozy temperature on cool nights. It is also air conditioned for your comfort in summer months.

Clean and Comfortable!
The cabin was perfect! No complaints. Cheryl and Jim were extremely friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review - we really appreciate it! You all (including your adorable dogs) were 5-star guests and we'd love to have to back to stay again in the future! Regards, Cheryl and Jim
Great cabin in a beautiful location
We came to the area for parents weekend at Cornell but didn’t want to stay in a standard hotel in town. Cheryl and Jim were terrific. The cabin was immaculately clean and had everything we needed to make ourselves at home. It’s an easy drive into Ithaca and close to wineries and a beautiful state park where we went hiking. We will definitely be back next visit!
Fun in the Finger Lakes
We really enjoyed our 3 nights at this beautiful cabin. Loved the radiant heated floors since it was a cool fall stay. Cheryl was very helpful with local information and went above and beyond with our reservation and stay. The location on the Cayauga Wine Trail was perfect and it was a short drive to Geneva and Ithica. Our best ... the unpublicized Letchworth State Park, beyond fabulous. Also Corning Glass Museum in Corning is exceptional.
Great, Central, Finger Lakes Cabin
We had a great time staying in this cabin for a full weeklong vacation. The cabin is located in a nice, central location for exploring around Seneca Lake and Cayuga Lake. The kitchen was well equipped for us to plan and do some cooking in. We greatly enjoyed our hosts recomendations for local food/attractions. The cabin was in excellent condition and we enjoyed the fire pit also. There are many steps down to the lake, but the pavilion area is quite nice. We will highly recommend staying here and would likely stay here again during any future trips to the finger lakes.
The cabins were just perfect for our getaway with our golden retriever. The location was wonderful, close to many wineries that allowed dogs, and hiking to waterfalls in the state parks. The fire pit was relaxing at night.
Thank you Mike for leaving this review. We really appreciate it! So glad you enjoyed your Finger Lakes getaway and also happy to hear that Merlin approved of his cabin. You were fabulous five-star guests and thank you for leaving the cabin in such great condition at check-out. We do hope you return to stay again in the future! Regards, Cheryl and Jim
