Large older home

Fantastic location and many beds made this stay easy. Aside from needing to supply own linen, all other basics were included. Place had been cleaned upon arrival - inside of kitchen cupboards and backyard would benefit from a detailed clean. Very liveable.

Terrible stay - do not stay here

We were very unhappy with the accommodation. The property was extremely stuffy when we arrived. There was dust everywhere. The cleaner and electrician both mentioned they couldn't remember the last time someone stayed there, so we would expect someone would have checked the property before allowing guests to stay again which may have elevated some of the issues mentioned below. Most importantly, the roof was pouring water into the kitchen through a ceiling light onto the floor, there is exposed and disturbed asbestos sheeting outside the window in the kitchen, the dead possum clearly visible in the back driveway of which the cleaner claimed no responsibility and we had to remove ourselves, how filthy the property was which required deep cleaning ourselves (bugs, hairs in showers, large urine stain on mattress in self contained room, spiders, cobwebs, dust etc), no hot water in the self contained room (not realised until the 3rd last night when the remaining two guests joined us), and the utensils were unclean with food/oil on them. I have photos and video footage of the above mentioned issues. We would not usually complain or write bad reviews, but the state of this house was unacceptable for guests to be staying. We sent emails to the property managers regarding these issues following our stay with no response.

Nice place close to the beach

We were two 4-people families and a small dashhound dog. The space was ample enough for us and we had a nice 3-night stay. The best thing about this property is the closeness to the beach, about 3-5 minute walk which was very convenient. The property has a ping pong table that was great to entertain kids and adults when not at beach. It has five bedrooms and three bathrooms although one shower has no hot water and was full of bugs. The carpets are a bit old and probably need a steam clean. The oven didn't work for us so we had to change plans for one of our meals. However, it has a bbq which was a good substitution for what we needed. Overall it is a nice and well-located property. With some maintenance of the carpets, oven and third shower would have been perfect.
