Perfect for us!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cabin over Memorial weekend and it was perfect. It was so clean and well stocked. Just bring your food to cook! When I think of a mountain cabin, this is exactly what I have in mind. There are two bedrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs) with queen sized beds. The loft has two twin sized beds. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs bathroom has a tub. The couch also has a pull out bed too! So, this cabin can sleep many people! There were games and books available too. It also has a hot tub on the back deck and washer and dryer in the kitchen (in the closet). There is a fire pit but we didn't use it. The sliding chairs on the front porch were so comfortable. I loved sitting in them in the morning while drinking my coffee and listening to the quiet. The cabin was easy to get to and very close to Boone (cutest town every) and the BRP. The area was peaceful throughout the day. The owners were so nice and replied back almost immediately. A packet was sent after reserving the cabin and that was extremely helpful. It had things to do in the area, restaurants, etc. I felt at home here and didn't want to leave! We will be back to this cabin someday.

Quiet Cabin In Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, clean, comfortable and great amenities. Loved it.

Favs: Playing guitar on porch swing, beautiful setting and enjoying the quiet green forest.

A little further into Boone (25 min+ each way) to restaurants than we thought, but the drive was so beautiful. Very close to Blue Ridge Parkway, which was great for scenic drives.

Perfect mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous cabin. Beautifully decorated, so cozy and felt just like home. Great distance to exploring Blowing Rock. Was very private but not too far off the beaten path. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Clean, Lovely Decor, Great Cabin for romantic getaway

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is perfectly decorated, clean, and just the right size. Nestled in the trees and quaint. Hot tub great for sore muscles. Visited our friends in West Jefferson who were just 18 minutes away. I would love to stay here again!

Just WOW!

  • 5 of 5

We booked this cozy cabin for a long weekend. We just wanted to get away and disconnect for a little. What an amazing weekend. This cabin has everything you could want or need. Everything was clean. Well taken care of and extremely useful. Plenty of cooking equipment. No need to bring anything but food. I have rented so many cabins in the past and this one is hands down the best so far. Such a quiet and cozy cabin with ALL the comforts of being home. Boone was very close and we ventured out during the day. We are planning a return trip in the fall. Book this cabin!!! You will not regret it. And just so everyone knows, I am usually very critical and will always write an honest review. I tried to find issues that irked me....couldn't do it. Great owners. Great cabin and a great time was had. Thank you!!!

Cute, cozy cabin

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Dancing Bear cabin! It was clean and comfortable for our weekend couple get away. We arrived when it was dark and the property was a little difficult to find. It was very far back off of the highway (a pro and a con depending on what you are wanting out of the weekend). We loved the isolated feeling, but it was also a pain when we had to drive 25-30 mins to get anywhere to do something. The hot tub was a nice luxury of the cabin, however, it had a very strange smell that was hard to get over and feel comfortable with. The owners were very nice and helpful. We woke up one of our mornings there with no heat or hot water. They determined the propane had ran out and got someone out to refill it pretty promptly on a Sunday. We were very grateful for that. Overall, it was a great, little place and I would highly recommend it to someone wanting to disconnect for a little!
