A Real Home Away from Home!

  • 5 of 5

I have stayed in a cabin or beach house at least once a year and this felt more like home than any other place I have stayed. The quality and cleanliness was outstanding. I felt like a guest in a loved ones home with beautiful towels, really nice sheets and comfy quilts. In other places I have stayed it has felt like the vacation home amenities were just the "left-overs," which the owners put out for untrustworthy strangers.

On a practical level, the furniture in all rooms was very comfortable, and the TVs, stereo, washer/dryer, etc. were all high quality and worked well. The grill & hot tub were lovely to use and the kitchen is quite large. The only concerns we had were concerning recycling and the inability to get phone coverage. We like to recycle as much as we can and didn't know whether or not to leave it. We ended up bringing it back in the car to be sure it was put in the recycle bin. Also, the wifi worked well, but we were unable to make or receive calls/texts. It wasn't a problem, but we were concerned about contact with family at home.

We will definitely stay at this Cozy Cabin again next year.

Thanks,

Joy

Best cabin around!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I needed a quiet weekend getaway over the weekend of April 14-17th. We had booked the dancing bear cabin on short notice. Kevin and Suzanne were very responsive to all our questions prior to our visit. The cabin exceeded all expectations! It was super clean and cozy! We absolutely fell in LOVE with it. The kitchen was fully equipped for any meal that you could dream up. Instructions to use all amenities were well noted and easy to follow. Very cozy and quiet and incredibly warm and inviting. We even purchased mugs with bears on them so that we could remember our time at the cabin. We will be booking again but only this time we will be bringing our children with us! The upstairs loft also has games, books and tv for those unseasonably rainy indoor days. You will not be disappointed with this cabin and your stay! The location is ideal and is close enough to Boone, Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain. We absolutely cannot say enough about our stay at the Dancing Bear Cabin! It was the perfect Mountain getaway!!

Perfect for us!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cabin over Memorial weekend and it was perfect. It was so clean and well stocked. Just bring your food to cook! When I think of a mountain cabin, this is exactly what I have in mind. There are two bedrooms (one downstairs and one upstairs) with queen sized beds. The loft has two twin sized beds. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. The downstairs bathroom has a tub. The couch also has a pull out bed too! So, this cabin can sleep many people! There were games and books available too. It also has a hot tub on the back deck and washer and dryer in the kitchen (in the closet). There is a fire pit but we didn't use it. The sliding chairs on the front porch were so comfortable. I loved sitting in them in the morning while drinking my coffee and listening to the quiet. The cabin was easy to get to and very close to Boone (cutest town every) and the BRP. The area was peaceful throughout the day. The owners were so nice and replied back almost immediately. A packet was sent after reserving the cabin and that was extremely helpful. It had things to do in the area, restaurants, etc. I felt at home here and didn't want to leave! We will be back to this cabin someday.

Quiet Cabin In Beautiful Setting

  • 5 of 5

Quiet, clean, comfortable and great amenities. Loved it.

Favs: Playing guitar on porch swing, beautiful setting and enjoying the quiet green forest.

A little further into Boone (25 min+ each way) to restaurants than we thought, but the drive was so beautiful. Very close to Blue Ridge Parkway, which was great for scenic drives.

Perfect mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Gorgeous cabin. Beautifully decorated, so cozy and felt just like home. Great distance to exploring Blowing Rock. Was very private but not too far off the beaten path. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!
